Do they by any chance test drive a time machine as well?
I was just wondering how you've seen a preview for a show that won't actually start filming until early next year.
I haven't really seen a preview. Sorry if this confused you and other Top Gear fans.:D

The Fire TV Stick is £35-

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-W87CUN-Fire-TV-Stick/dp/B00KAKUN3E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438500087&sr=8-1&keywords=amazon+tv+stick

The bigger Amazon Fire TV box (I own) is £79-

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amazon-CL1130-Fire-TV/dp/B00KQEJBSW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1438500087&sr=8-3&keywords=amazon+tv+stick

I regularly see the stick on offer for £20. This week they have added music streaming which will now save me £120 a year over Spotify. For £79 a year Prime is a steal.

Swings and round-abouts. You wont get it over one program and many are dumping the BBC over one program.

We'll have to look at seriously when this contract is up.

Our "problem" is worse than Savvys though - we dont watch sport, but my son does (Sky Multiroom #1) and so does my father in law who lives in the granny flat (Sky Multiroom #2) so we're a bit stuffed.

Having said that, son is moving out soon, so might have to have a hard look at what we do going forward - including multirooms i think we're giving Sky £90+ a month.

That is crazy money!! Just to watch TV??

I guess they're a bit like Marmite. I hate that too lol

Guess it must be a man thing, specifically those undergoing mid-life crises. As an almost middle aged woman I can't abide the trio. And Clarkson in particular makes my skin crawl.

I got rid of cable TV as it was costing me about £30 a month to watch half a dozen shows.
A £1 an hour PPV system for standard entertainment (Top Gear, Discovery Channel Stuff) would suit me more than a subscription. I'm actually thinking of ditching the Licence and sticking to Iplayer for a big saving.

Who do you think pays for the stuff on iPlayer?

Just read an interview with clarkson. Expect to start recording in the autumn.

They have free reign to do what they want, they have a budget and no rules how they spend it as long as they meet the required number of episodes.

Clarkson told broadcast magazine that there is no interference and no policing by Amazon.

There is also no sponsors or advertisers as there would be on ITV for example, so if a car is terrible they can say it's terrible.

As long as it doesn't look anything like the show they did with the BBC.

I am also pretty sure that when the accountants look at the cost versus profits, things will have to change. They won't be smashing up cars and going on lavish trips on the meagre budgets they will be left with.
