    Being very new (my first post!) to this, I apologise if this subject has already been covered elsewhere - if this is the case, perhaps one of the regulars could kindly point me in the right direction .......

    I'm wondering what kind of experience other shopppers may have had with regards to buying an item (clothing is perfect example) in the high street and then finding the same item reduced by that store within the time limit of their returns policy. Unfortunately, there are none of your size left on the rack so you can't even buy that and take your original one back later, just the one you have at home. Has anyone successfully tried to take that back to the shop to return it at the price you paid and then immediately been allowed to buy it back at the new lower price? I'm thinking of the big names such as M&S, BHS, Debenhams, Next, Monsoon, Arcadia group etc. I have a couple of items I bought in the recent M&S sale which then were further reduced within a few days, very frustrating! It's not necessarily trying to get one up on the shops but more the case that the further saving is likely enough to persuade me to keep the goods because I only like them that much.

    Any comments or advice would be much appreciated, so hope you'll share the benefit of your experiences with me and others. Any insiders willing to share what the stores' policies are on this subject?

    Well i ordered a pack of 3 maternity tops from Next in the sale reduced from £24.99 to £18.49,and some other tops that were £19.99 to £9.99 they then both went down to £5 each after i ordered !

    A quick call to next and they honoured the £5 price , i said it was silly just reordering them and they agreed :)

    Did you know that if your food takes more than 3 minutes to arrive @ McDonalds you can ask for your money back and keep the food? I do it nearly every time I order. Someone told me who worked there ages ago, I've been doing it for years and they always cough up.

    Simply place your order and if it takes more that 3 mins take your food and then ask for your money. Veggie option WILL ALWAYS take more than 3 mins cause they have to cook them fresh. As a "Fast Food" restaurant the food must be delivered in 3 mins to be considered "fast".

    I often order plain cheese burgers or burgers with no mayo. They usually say "that will be x'' minutes is that ok?" It usually then takes a lot longer than they said it would be. What if they fail to deliver in 'x' minutes, can I then ask for my money back?

    Welcome to the site :)

    The only store that I am aware of that does what you ask is Gap. If the price goes down within 14 days, you can take your receipt in and they will give you the difference back.

    hello all. Ive been reading about this asda return policy on mis pricing with eagerness..
    I have a question for anyone that knows,

    If |I find something that is mispriced, and i buy it. You say to take it to Cs and get a full refund and keep the product..

    My question,- If i come across anything that is mispriced. How many of this item could I buy at the misprice and then take back to Cs and them honour their aggreement and give a full refund. or is it only the one.? (e.g not say anything about the first one I buy and just go back the next day and get a load)

    I had a similar experience with the Next sale. I had ordered, via the catalugue, some cropped jeans which were initially reduced to £16.99 from £24.99. Then about a week later Next reduced all their jeans to £10.

    I rang them to see if they would let me have them at the price that they are currently selling, and I was told that they were unable to do this. I was even told similar when returning items to the store yesterday.

    Sounds like you were very lucky there!

    I shall be trying my luck again though, as I received another pair of cropped jeans from the catalogue on Wednesday, which I had originally ordered along with the rest of the sale items, but these were on a 1-2 week delay. Again the invoice states a higher price than the £10 jeans, so I will ask again :p Strange though, as one of the tops I ordered at the same time has the new lower price on the statement.

    We shall see what happens :p

    I was probably in a better position as they were still available on the website and i hadn't received the goods when i called.

Then you just have to cancel the cover. But sometimes its worth keeping on some items, its not as much of a rip off as it sounds on many items such as TFT's, GPS or ipods. If you say you dont want cover they will push you and try to persuade you, this is your time to ask what they will give you if you take it out.
    In these shops the only thing anyone is targeted on is how much insurance thay can sell, not how much money they can put in the till.
