No Mr Michael, it is not. Please read this

Seeing as we are on the MSE forum, I would have though that their definition of what constitutes a troll would be more relevant which is why I posted that. " people who are nasty or contrary just to get a rise out of you." and you have already clearly stated that this is what you sometimes do.

I am sure that all of us have been a bit short with other posters from time to time Mr M. That does not make us trolls.

To every one except the OP:-

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/your-online-secrets/201409/internet-trolls-are-narcissists-psychopaths-and-sadists

Interesting article and has some semblance of peer review and, at least at some level, is from a credible source.

That said I do like the MSE definition, as quoted by George Michael above and repeated below:-

Don't feed the trolls : Sadly the web has a habit of throwing up a very small but vocal number of trolls, people who are nasty or contrary just to get a rise out of you. If someone's doing this, simply don't reply, just report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. If you get involved and fling mud back, you risk being barred from using the forum too.

It sad that a minority of people would act in this way. Especially as MSE is aimed at providing support to those who need it.

I've just successfully added the OP to my ignore list, so he can't insult me anymore!

Reported the troll. Wasting the time and kindness of those that have replied... be they bank clerks or not. :)
Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...

... kindness of those that have replied

But Tygermoth, I was not soliciting advice, merely pointing out some very bad customer service. I would have been happier if no-one had replied.

As a 75 year old former senior civil servant, I really do not need advice from anonymous people on how to conduct my property business, it is doing very nicely as it is.

The Deep - your time obviously is not money as you seem to be spending a lot of it on here. The company you complain about actually acted very reasonably - would you have preferred a bodge job doing? At least they informed you they could not do the job, didn't whack you with a call out fee and have even offered you a discount, although from your attitude that was probably just to shut you up.

If you were not looking for advice or replies, why was your post heading implying a question that wanted answers from others?

As you earlier used Wikipedia to prove a point, I feel justified in doing the same.
The question mark (?), also known as the interrogation point, query, and eroteme, is a punctuation mark that indicates an interrogative clause or phrase in many languages. The question mark is not used for indirect questions.

Re the question mark. You have a point, Mr Michael, but it is not a game changer.

The only person who can decide whether this is a breach would be the Judge hearing the claim, certainly not anonymous board users. Its use therefore was not an invitation to offer advice, but an indication of my uncertainty about the legal position. No-one on here can say whether it would be a BOC or not.

Its use was apposite, a good try, but no cigar.

Maybe relevant, depending on your point of view:

How childish, reported for stalking.

Vexatious Litigation

Over on the private parking tickets board

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

There are several instances of a private parking company, C.E.L./D.E.A.L issuing CC claims for parking infractions, many several years old, and long before The Protection of Freedoms Act, in a Co-op car parks, despite the wishes of the landowner. They are even targeting Co-op employees.

If you defend they will drop out at the last moment, if you ignore they will get a CCJ against you.

This is a blatant abuse of the court system, and they are causing many people intolerable stress. We are urging County Court judges to have them declared vexatious litigants, but judges are most reluctant to do so, especially if a private company is concerned.
