meant to say it is important to appreciate what you have got and sometimes I do forget and its normally when so and so is off to an exotic location or when so and so is moving to a big house in a leafy neigbourhood. Its normally when I am comparing what other people have to what i have it makes me fed up and i think oh I wish I had ..................

I found this in my local abc magazine

Its called Woman to woman encouragement ( sorry men I didnt print it )

    Someone will always be smarter
    Their house will be bigger
They will drive a better car
Their children will do better in school
And their partners will fix more things round the house
So let it go and love you and your circumstances
    Think about it
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart
And the most highly favoured woman at work maybe unable to have children
The richest woman you know - shes got the car the house, the clothes might be heartbreakingly lonely
So love you , love who you are right now

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you are the world "

I thought this was really sweet and I put it on my fridge when i cut it out

sometimes when I am arguing with my hubby " he says nothings ever good enough for you, Is it ?". It really upsets me as it makes me feel that he must think this about me and I think maybe I must give that out . I dont want to be seen or thought of as being ungratefull. I am trying to change my attidude with gratitude( taken from my book !):p

I think my husband would think I had been taken over by aliens if I cooked a candlelit meal for him!!, thats awfull to say as we just havent done anything nice for each other to let the other know we appreciate them. Will put it on my agenda though X

Years ago in arestaurant we had candlelit dinner and my sleeve got caught in candle , I had to put it out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read something which said each day you should write down 5 good things that happened to you or 5 things you are thankful for. Maybe that would help - keep meaning to try it.

    Had a horrible day today.

The comments above cheered me up though, i would personally love to have a family and a husband to care about and cook for and do lovely things with even if its sitting in front of the tv.

You guys are lucky that you come back to the laughter and giggles or even just little faces who are pleased to see you.

I come back to an empty house so count yourselves lucky.

    :)
  • Hi Angel,

Would a pet perhaps be good for you? They can give you someone to cuddle (depending on the pet!), they make you laugh, they love you and are another hearbeat in the house. (of course they are darned annoying at times!!)

    Sorry about your day.

I recently visited my small granddaughters, who have a pretend Dr kit (well it would hardly be real for a 3 year old would it? Doh!) but no bandages, so I said I would try to find some when I got home. Bought bandages and plasters from £land and posted them, and had a wobbly moment of regret that when my 2 were little I couldn't even have afforded that. Your post has brought me to my senses, and I know how lucky I am.

I hope things improve for you.

Hi, thanks Teacup, Wendym and Sparkly. Unfortunately it kind of got worse i was going to post to get some advice/kind words but have not got round to it.
I did book an appointment with a counsellor today so i guess thats a step forward.
I am really trying to focus on the good but things are pretty bad for me right now i guess the worst they have been ever. Things can only get better though right? Still trying to stay positive!

    Thanks again guys. :)
