PS very envious of anyone who can swish hair; mine is very thin and fine (family trait - several females in family resorted to a wig way before my age. I'm resisting as it wouldn't do for zumba or gardening!).
Me too - I have about a third the thickness I had a decade ago, and it's currently falling out in handfuls. I seriously need to start looking at wigs; did a quick recce online yesterday, and it was all just so confusing - such a vast price range; like the cheapest are under £30, and then there are others that cost literally hundreds of £, so I really don't know where to start.:(

I think the really expensive ones are probably human hair LW. The rest will be synthetic. Is there anywhere that you could try any on to get the feel of them first and see what you like?

Not really; there's a stall in the middle of one of the malls in Central MK, but I'd be in full view of all the other shoppers, and I don't much care for that thought, plus I really really dislike being touched by strangers, and if I visited a shop, the assistant would want to aid me in putting it on. I don't know of anywhere else in MK that does them - I was looking to buy online if possible.
I'm happy enough to have synthetic - as long as it doesn't fall to bits after three uses!:D In fact if I'm honest, I'd kind of like several, in different colours.:o

Have a look at online reviews and see if any of them can help you, but just buy one till you have checked you are happy with the fit and quality

Well that's it. The classroom is practically done, we need to set up pen boxes etc for September but we're sorted; we have even managed to back 2 out of the 3 boards - and the ones we have done are the least accessible ones! One of the more tedious jobs is digging out old staples (necessary because you slash skin smoothing down new backing paper - due to the number of staples (and the number of bits of coloured paper this appears not to have been done for some time...) Both windowsills clean and set up with dusted/washed items; it looks a LOT better now!

    Evening flyers

cy I hope today has been treating you well x
    LW gorgeous dogs x
Valli well done on your school flying I'm tired just thinking about it.
narco I find I go round in circles and achieve nothing most days.

Today has been all go. Went to college with DS2 with DD in tow. Started to upload documents they needed and low and behold I'd lifted the wrong birth certificate:mad:. Had to phone OH at work ask him to take his lunch early and drop it off to me. Just got back in enough time to feed the minions then run out to work. Really busy there today with the schools being off. Nipped in to see a pal on way home and ended up going to the credit union with her so I just opened an account while I was there.
Eventually got home fed the minions again and now I'm shattered although I feel like I've done nothing.
    I will try harder tomorrow.

    Evening all

CY, I hope the ABs have kicked in and you are feeling better this evening.
Your Westie visitors look very cute, LW.
    GWS to your DS3, Dusty.

I've had a busy but productive 24 hours. Yesterday evening I ended up decluttering the contents of a SoD in the study bedroom, so I didn't finish the cleaning, but that room was finished by 9.30 this morning, and I still had time to hang out the washing before I took DH to play on the railway. Back home for another hour's cleaning, and all the upstairs was tidy, dusted and hoovered. After an early lunch and 5 minutes downloading photos, I went off to do my vol job for the afternoon, then I called at Mr S and bought the things that I can't get from @1d! before picking up DH. Oh, and I also bought DGD1's birthday present and sent off two letters with printouts of some of the photos. I put the shopping away, then we had a late tea and I WUDUPA because DH is even more shattered than I am. Now I just have to fold up the washing and remake our bed so that we can fall into it :D

Tomorrow will be less demanding: clean downstairs (it's already tidy ;) ), get my hair cut, pick up DH's prescription, deliver another card, go to the wedding of old friends, meet DS2 there with his family, bring DGS3 home with me, babysit him here for the night, and take him home on Saturday morning :)

    Good night, all x

Narco- I feel like I am am swimming in treacle most of the time! I know what I want to do but not enough hours. I think if I didn't work and I didn't have kids I might just about keep up..... But then again!

    LW- lovely photo!

Valii- I am very envious! I am half way through my classroom (well two open plan classrooms for one class). All the boards are backed and half has been sorted through? Everything was so dirty! I'm going in for another day or so at the end of August to finish it off!

Was out for most f the day. But when I got back at 4pm I cracked on before dinner and then hubby had to run an errand so I managed to iron the clothes that I had just took off the line! Unheard of for me! Also managed to clear ds2s room. I still need to shift a few boxes junto the spare room but his room is clear apart from his warderobe!
Just a couple of things left....

    Hi all

It's taken me ages to catch up! Hugs, spoons and stick to all that want/need them.

Got the LR done yesterday after I got up yesterday afternoon (I work nights).

    Today has been fairly productive:

Bed stripped & remade with fresh linen
BR dusted and hettyed (it really needed it  )
HHI x 3 - now have an empty ironing basket
    Ironed clothes put away
    Bathroom cleaned
    Fresh towels put out
    Washing up done

I realised as I put a box into the smallest bedroom that this is my RoD and I need to sort it. I'm struggling a bit with it as the door fell off when I moved in (the bottom hinge had rotted away from the door frame) and I can't make it into a proper bedroom as the cats will ruin it by sleeping in there all the time. I must sort the boxes out in there though and get rid of stuff that I no longer want or have space for.

    Tomorrow I must:

    Ring about kitchen fitting
    Ring electrician
    Sort Gas & Electric
    Sort larger spare room

    Goodnight all

I finally managed to get in the garden and picked a whole colander full of white currants.
Cooked dinner then it all went pear shaped again - sat in front of TV. Had planned to watch a programme while scoring up an assessment; decided the programme was too interesting for that but curiously was able to play Candy Crush at the same time......................

Looks like Mr N's birthday starts tomorrow - because we are away Sat afternoon till Mon eve, he suggested we go out to dinner with friends and his mum tomorrow. Except friend is working so won't get to pub till 8.30, which is too late for MIL so we're going out with her when we come back. Looks like I will need to hit the gym in double sessions for a while.

Started typing up another report so at least that's another thing on my list.
