Energy? Few cashback deals about. Phone contract?
I'm terrible at painting and not up to the prep involved. Plus it's taking too long so I've finished one room and one more to go and I'm going to wait to get more stuff done as i want to move in. I got paint in my eye. Like one massive blob. You know when you have one of those moments where you think 'is this an a&e problem?' And how would i get there? But luckily rinsing it out was fine.
I got nest on black Friday yesterday because I am naughty and can never work out heating. I do think it will save me money but more importantly it will mean I can stay warm.
Lots of love to you kirsty xLoan 1 £5200/£8000

I switched with the MSE energy club a few weeks ago and my phone contract is SIM only for 12 months with 6 months left...hmm! I'll keep thinking!
I'm with you on that Kitten, I love the idea of decorating - I hate it when I get going though :rotfl:
We've been looking at nest too! Luckily OH works in electrical trade so he gets it at cost price if w decide to go with that but there are a few options and he wants to fully explore them all....I'm leaving him to it!
Glad you are getting there with the house anyway Kittenx

Well I've been a massive mug because John Lewis price matched it with a 2 year guarantee but I've just got it from amazon. AND hive went down to £125 the next day. Stupid panic buying... still haven't confessed to hubby.
I'm signed up to energy saving club but j can't get started as I'm on pigging pay as you go. It's awful as they can't get me a card that works. Just turning on the heating cost £2 in gas!
Hope you get some good news on Monday xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Don't worry about it Kitten - if you're really regretting it then send it back and order from JL, but I wouldn't worry about hive - OH has been doing lots of research and talked to his suppliers and has declared Nest is far superior...we shall see!
That's awful Kitten, can't they change you from those horrible pre-payment meters?!
Fingers crossed. We will need a condenser dryer at the new house and it took everything in me not to order one in the BF sales yesterday but I managed to be good. Wrapped some Christmas presents and watched Miracle on 34th Street
We aren't buying anything for the new house until we move in (or at least get a confirmed date) so it will be busy then. Luckily money is put aside for some bits, and my grand parents and parents are paying for specific items for our Christmas presents so it's not going to be too much of an issue:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Hi Kirsty. Just caught up with your dairy. Have you heard anything today? What have you got to wait for now? It's so exciting, I'm waiting for the next update. Hope you're ok.

Hi Tink
No news yet. Called the solicitor yesterday as I couldn't wait anymore and her assistant explained that they are pretty much sorted with paperwork, just waiting for the buyers solicitors to get back and confirm they are good to go - problem is they had a load of queries to responses last week and haven't even acknowledged them so I am panicking big time!
They are so slow and it's putting everything in jeopardy time wise - buyer says she is happy to go for specific dates but solicitor won't confirm they are ok with that so we can't even agree exchange at the moment
In other news there has been a leak at the new house in the kitchen so some units have had to be removed and replaced and the ground floor is currently full of dehumidifiers drying the place out ready for completion  we can't go in and visit until that is all sorted so I drove down on Saturday and had a wander and peeked through windows...cue mass panic when I noticed that all skirting and architraves to the ground floor had been removed (and I'm being nice saying removed rather than ripped off which is the more apt description) so now I am worrying that they are downplaying the leak and there is more damage than they are letting on. Site office is closed until Thursday so there is nothing I can do at the moment
OH struggling at work - they are still at the lowest number of staff humanly possible and he is getting more and more stressed and it's affecting him mentally. He hasn't got any enthusiasm for anything and as much as I want to help, it's really bringing me down being around so much negativity so we had a huge talk about it and he is making more of an effort to be upbeat. He is really trying to get another job - CVs being sent out left right and centre, applying for allsorts online and contacting anyone he has been in contact with previously in case they have any new vacancies but he just isn't getting anywhere. His new boss is a few years younger than him and he's started saying that he feels like a failure and he hates the fact I earn more than him as it worries him when it comes to having a family so he's very down on himself and I'm trying to work out how I can be more supportive...fingers crossed he finds something else soon.
Well that's enough rambling!! xx:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Eep about the leak!! Hopefully it's not that bad. Maybe they just ripped things out in panic? At least they told you there had been a leak...
I'm sure it will all be perfect again when you move in.

The saga is ongoing today LMSTM our sales progression manager has just called to say the buyers solicitors are denying receiving any responses to queries, when they were replied to by our solicitors on 23rd Nov by email and post!
Our solicitors are still saying all good for 9th Dec and buyers solicitors are now saying no way....stress levels through the roof at this point and no nearer to finding out what's happening. I can't book removals until we agree a date and no one is in a rush to agree a date. Have a horrible feeling we will find out a day or two before :j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Thanks Abba, just had a phone call from our solicitors who now say our house won't be ready on 9th because of leak  I'm sick of going back and forth about dates!
New date is 16th December....which was actually our original date so I wish the last week of worrying hadn't happened  still waiting on buyers solicitors, who haven't even prepared transfer deed for us to sign so it's still going to be last minute to get everything sorted, even for the new date.
I AM NEVER MOVING AGAIN!!!!!
Thanks for all positive thoughts though, we will get there:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
