Luckily although we live in a city it isn't the most expensive city so the detached is within our reach, much to OHs joy!

I'm not exactly the most patient person so I am trying to chill out! We went with the recommended solictior (there are two so we did some research before deciding) but it's possible that we made completely the wrong choice!

30 mins and counting before I harass the solicitors :rotfl:

Spoken to the solicitor and feel a bit mean - her assistant hadn't passed on my queries on Friday and isn't in! She went through all the queries with me today and I'm happy with responses so we can get our contracts sorted and sent back tomorrow :)

Thanks Kitten, how's it all going? Are you up to your elbows in paint?!

Sent our contracts back today so that's all signed and sorted then goodness, now it's just a waiting game with our buyer.....please let her hurry up and stop trying to mess us about, pretty please...

Had another eBay sale which I posted today. A lovely Hell Bunny dress that I was reluctant to part with but it's all for a good cause, and I will continue to remind myself of this everytime one of my much loved outfits sells :(

I think once the house is sorted I need to record things on here properly, like ebay sales and where the money has gone etc as I think it will be good to look back and see how I did it all in the future.... imagining a DF life is exciting and scary.

Hell Bunny? Sounds demonic! I know nothing about fashion though...

    Haha Bob, it does rather!
They do retro rock and roll style dresses, perfect with petticoats and very much my style but needs must!

I love them! Hell Bunny, Pretty Kitty and Lindy Bop are one of my favourite ways to pass time. It's a while since I bought anything but I love to browse :)

    Woohoo! :j

I cancelled our sky contract last month as the deal we were on ended (£28.80 PM including TV, line rental, sky talk and unlimited broadband) so it switched off last night and using some tips from HUKD I went on live chat today and asked for 75% off the TV with £100 credit. The guy on live chat didn't question it, and just signed me up for everything I asked for!

Now to get cracking on haggling with the broadband, or moving it into OHs name to take advantage of the £15 pm line rental and, £75 prepaid mastercard and £66 TCB.

I am going to make sure we reduce our outgoings as much as humanly possible to get us overpaying the mortgage without noticing if that makes sense. The only thing I won't scrimp on is insurance - always the cheapest I can get at the cover I want, but I refuse to downgrade the cover as I know that will be when there is a problem. Law of sod and all that.

Wondering what I can work on after sky...;)
