  • Hi everybody
So sorry to hear your news jockettuk. Hope you start to feel a little brighter soon.
Alibob hope things improve for you too.

Congratulations to anyone celebrating anything today.

My first BAD posting. My kettle broke yesterday so I thought I would just pop into town post a couple of Amazon things and buy a cheap kettele. Very MSE and they seem to last just as long as the expensive ones.

Anyway "hands up " dreaming of other lovely things noit enough concentration and caught the alloy wheels BIG TIME on the edge of the road. The noise soon brought me back to reality!!!!

Anyway unfortunately chunk out of tyre and alloy ruined-- wouldn't pass its MOT. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fed up with myself.

So rang the scrapyard they dont keep single ones --- they just throw them away!!!! Nothing on ebay and they are all miles away andVW 's are over £100 !!!!

No-one got one lurking in their garage have they?
    "
So not a good day but DH just said "I dont care as long as you are O.K" and he retires in !! days-- not much of an asset to our new financial adventure am I!!!

Anyway enough of me . Have a good day everyone

    Morning all,

Lots of hugs to jockettuk, as everyone has said give yourself time.

Well all quiet here, at work at the moment, on my own till later, so thought I would have a 'quick ' look on here

Went to hospital yesterday as I have got a funny lump come up on my toe, apparantly its a bone growing the wrong way !! so have got to have a small
op in feb of next year, apparantly they go in through the nail  and i might loose it, the good news is that I have to spend a whole week with my feet up, and be waited on :T

DD is staying over at friends tonight, they will go into town together tomorrow, I do worry when they do that she is only 12, but seriously looks 18 ish ( the Dr at the hosp thought she was 20 !) How does any one cope with them getting older and wanting freedom ?

    Breakfast : bagel
    Lunch: Tuna pate and oatcakes
Dinner: Sausages and chips, with peas / sweetcorn

    Thats all for now folks

    xx

    Good morning all,

Jockettuk....hugs to you and family...go easy on yourself, you need time to recover physically and emotionally so give yourself the time, please.

Scubaleopard...Hugs...your OH is right, cars can be fixed, replaced whatever, people can't.

Alibob...sit down, put your feet up and close your eyes for 10 minutes, open them and everything will be much better! I do agree that OH needs to be told that you need him off work on whichever days suits you, men can be very obtuse when it suits...remember to make sure that he has lots of days free for when Baby Alibob arrives. Moan all you like, at this stage of pregnancy you are entitled to get things off your chest...anything to ease the stress.

Congratulations to Miss Pink, and to PinkWinged for her gardening prowess!

    Crazychik...hope holiday works out...have a ball

    Donny-gal....enjoy your holiday.

    Ellie...hope that sciatica eases off.

    Essex girl...enjoy your weekend

    Anniebooklover...glad your pain is easing

    Scuzz...you'll make the right decision

Jan....Enjoy your retirement...much less expensive to live when not going out to work...I know...and the freedom is wonderful!

Hester, you make me so jealous...Five minutes in heels and my back is breaking...do you think that's just me giving up, maybe I should try again.

JackieO and PenPin...hope that you are both ok, hugs and prayers.

    Anniestar and Smoky...hugs.

SO delighted with getting on early that I have tried to mention everyone...hugs to anyone I have left off, after 10am the memory fails fast!

Nothing much on today in Mean Mansions...going to market later for some of their gorgeous if expensive new spuds, maybe some nice fresh fish too if the excitement isn't too much for me...taking DGS2 who will want to buy everything but is very accepting of 'no'.

    Have a good day everybody

    Morning All,
((((jockettuk)))) please take care of yourself.

No real news here. OH&I were both awake loads which doesn't lead to good feelings. New dog (lovely Akita) has moved in a few houses away & was barking its head off at 2:30. I could hear it through closed windows! PsychoKitty excelled himself by jumping up at OH backpack and scratching his legs - OH not pleased. He's then spent the whole of this morning getting himself into trouble every couple of minutes doing things he shouldn't have. I think he's even been on the kitchen counter-top. He's turning out to be a bit of a thug and has been terrorising 20 yr old Puschka (who's just about as small as he is). I know he's just playing but she's in her dotage and it's not fair. Now he's being cute and purring up at me. Of course, he's lying on the desk (which he shouldn't be on). Sigh.

Plans - take back paint colours I don't like, get hair done (which I don't like doing), pack up carboot stuff into car (fed up of it and feeling demoralised). Try to regain house before OH comes back from work tomorrow.

Oh yes, had TESCO loin of pork last night for a change. Comes in a big box about 10" long and 4" wide and deep. Cost £4. WON't be doing that again.... Bleeping meat came out about 4" wide. Just enough for us last night and to chop into pasta sauce. What a CON.

    take care folks.

  • Jockette, so sorry to hear your sad news. Had a huge row with hubs yesterday, i've had tonsilitis so not being the usual superwoman that i normally am: Cue hubs"i'll take care of everything" Anyway went to bed asleep an hour, woken up by the kids fighting, went downstairs, hubs sitting on the computer oblivious to all around him ARRGH!! house was an absouloute mess and the kids left to their own devices MEN!!!!! Lots of osing today to catch up on everything . Speak to you all later Love Sharron
