re-Halifax Reward A/c

Hi Guys. I switched my Nationwide A/c to Hfax Reward a month ago, and got my £200 incentive no problem. I set up my 2 DD's with Tesco and my £750 per month for the £5 on june 12th, the day reward was opened., prior to switch date
. The DD's were showing in Hfax, from Tesco, as" NOT known", regarding the amount and frequency, so,I didn't get my £5, even though I set them up for £10 per month
.I have done another 2 from Tescos, same, £10 per month,2 days ago, starting 31 st, and again it's showing in Hfax," not known" , frequency and amount.
So, I now have 4 DD's that are not active for some reason.
Before I phone Hfax, or Tesco, has anyone come across this before?
I cannot find in Tesco, anywhere it shows DD's and details,of them, only the monies in/out and payees, and , manage payments.
I have others set up with TSB , Lloyds, Santander, no problems., with Tesco.
Looks like another switch:-)
Any advice would be appreciated.

Open the Tesco savings account in question
Click "Manage payments"
Your regular payments in are listed there.
By the way...end of the month is very dangerous because if it falls on a weekend or a Bank Holiday your payment won't be collected until the following month! Suggest you pull them forward by at least a week.
As an aside, I have noticed a few anomalies with Tesco DDs. The most recent one being that despite me saying I didn't want to set up a DD from a new current account to all my Tesco savings accounts they still went ahead and did it anyway! I won't be raising it with them though, as that would mean putting my head above the parapet!0 -

In both my IS and IAS, my Hfax reward is there, but, only the last two, I have done are there. The other 2 , set up, over a month ago aren't , yet, Hfax has them as set up, but no amount or frequency.?
I cannot change the last one,31 st, yet, as that's the earliest date Tesco say it can be done, so will see if it goes through, then bring it forward.
If it's in Tesco, as paying £10 monthly, I cannot understand why Hfax are saying no amount and no frequency, like the first two, if that doesn't show, then nothing will be payed out, and no £5. again?
Tesco set up inter A/cs for me too, but, just left them, no problem.
I'm also reluctant to phone them, even though I'm using them , infrequently, and have a fair amount in my IS, as a standby A/c.and a couple of hundred in my IAS
When is the £5 usually paid, at the month end?.:beer:0 -

I've also noticed this happening.
Strangely, a DD to Tesco from a Lloyds Vantage switched to Yorkshire Current A/c Plus in March is being taken from my Yorkshire Current A/c Direct
Like you, I'm keeping my head well and truly down :rotfl:0 -

Same as TSB, got Enhance A/cs as well, empty.
It's obviously Tesco not notifying Hfax of tha amount and frequency.
I only switched for the £200,they kept pestering me to switch, but, if the £5 doesn't materialise, might as well switch again. That was my fist time.:beer:0 -
Have any payments actually been made under these dd mandates yet?
The Halifax has the authority to accept requests for payments from Tesco, but they don't know how much or how often, so that information won't show in the DD information on your Halifax internet banking.
The Halifax Reward is payable on the 1st of the month, and usually shows in your account the next day.
In order to get your reward for July you'll need to pay in £750, and have 2 dd payments actually made - it's not enough just to mandates ready for payment.Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
I think it will always say not known for frequency, my ING account on Halifax always did and that worked the same as Tesco.
It's because there isn't a set monthly amount (unless of course you have set it up that way - I don't have a Tesco account so I don't know how that works), it just pulls when you tell it to.
Also, the DD has to debit before it can tell you the frequency, and others have said, they have to debit to count for the £5 reward.0 -
Yes, it's whether the DDs have actually been taken in that month that counts. The amount and frequency are irrelevant.
You should be OK this month because 31st is a Friday, but I'd definitely bring them forward after that.0 -

I've just repeated it, and the same thing has happened.not known.?
Don't know why Tesco are not stating the amount and frequency,in hfax, when it tells me the earliest date for DD is the 31st. 10 days after setting up..? The mind boggles .:beer:0 -

Until it shows in Hfax the amount and date, it won't be taken by Tesco, so, no £5.?
Looks like a phone call to Tesco.:( unless it changes in a day or two.0 -

No
Tesco have to take the payment from Halifax before the amount and frequency will show on your Halifax account.0
