Rather than attempt to tell the bank what it should do (fat lot of good that will do) I prefer to spot the trends and changes, avoiding the issues that seem to affect others.
There is nothing wrong with spotting potential issues and avoiding them. However, it doesn't seem very fair to blame others who are not 'in the know' about these matters for making use of a facility that has been provided by a business and is widely used in general.

This thread is forum gold. It seems to have collectively attracted the most odd comments Ive ever seen on a thread.

Great news the OP has had their problem resolved.

Unfortunately it doesn't surprise me that forum members new and old are lining up to criticise someone for rightfully expecting an institution to check their letter box and also that its functioning if they have one - especially if there are known issues with it.

If they have a functioning fax, email address or pigeon carrier hole I'd expect likewise.

Fingers crossed that this thread attracts even more weird responses to keep me chuckling.
