Given the cannula problems yesterday I have been asked to arrive for my next session in a fortnight wearing gloves and doing exercises to keep my hands warm. I am confident that this means a heatwave is imminent...
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I hope so, CY. Cold and wet here today. I've been up to feed the hens but they haven't given me any eggs :(

Off to see DGS3+4 in a bit. I shall be taking some contributions towards lunch, a cake each for DS2 and DDiL2, and a packed tea for DH and me as we splurged out yesterday and bought tickets for Barnum in Birmingham this evening but half price with a voucher :money: No time to come home in between, so we shall be munching our tea whilst sitting in the car park.

I decluttered a successful meeting yesterday and also managed to start putting out some of the plants which have been languishing in pots and bags for weeks. DH gave me some enormous white lilies and bright orange gladioli which are now obscuring the LR hearth

I have also managed to transfer all my contact numbers to my mobile and did some paperwork yesterday evening while watching the Tatton Park flower show. We had thought of going there today, but given the rain, I'm glad we didn't. Progress is slow but steady :o

Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

Hope the next time is easier CY I now have visions of you sitting in a sundress sweating buckets with your thermal gloves on while doing dumbbell curls to pump the muscles and keep your mitts warm.

Have swept all through downstairs, tidied the wool ottoman, sorted through a load of goes paperwork and filed what was needed and put some aside to shred.
Going to sort knitting needles next as I have too many so some can go in the next Cs offload

Time for a cuppa I think

Well done CY another step closer to recovery xx

Just sitting down to lunch - had quite a stingy breakfast so I'm hungry ;)

Taken stuff to tip but there wasn't a clothing bank so some has come home with me. Will pop to Asda on my way out later as I think there are some bins there.

Operation 'return house to normal' is under way. Kitchen and downstairs loo floors have been mopped :T

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post but you all seem such cleaning experts I hope you can help.
    I recently bought
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JML-Scrubber-Cleaning-Brush-Four-Scrubbing-Heads-Battery-Power-Cleaner-Tool-/271813123363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f49531d23 and have found it really helpful to clean the grout lines on my Amtico flooring, as well as lots of other little areas. I would like something similar but larger to deep clean the whole floor area.
So far I have found this
    http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/coopers-of-stortford-multi-surface-floor-cleaner-prodst09222i/
which looks good...but I have limited storage space so would prefer something handheld
    Ebay has these
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-Scrub-Brush-Upholstery-Car-Carpet-Mat-5-Round-with-Power-Drill-Attachment-/151369922595?hash=item233e59b823
but they have to come from usa and I am not sure how easy it would be to hold a heavy hand drill to use them
Is there ANYthing else that anyone can recommend?

    :hello: paddypaws

What sort of flooring? Would a good old mop and bucket not do the trick? Or a steam mop?

I have laminate downstairs so tend to mop, or for smaller areas and corners use a floor cloth.

If it's just for the odd deep clean of a tiled floor, would a stiff brush and detergent do? Rather than buying something only used twice a year, if that?

Or for carpets maybe hire a rug doctor. Thinking along those lines - could you hire the cleaner on the second link?

Just in from work. Weather orrid so it's a stay in afternoon.

I whizzed round the lounge with a duster this morning before work and sorted out all knitty bits which have seemed to be multiplying across every surface in lounge!

Going to crack open the play doh for dds now and hopefully throw the hoover about whilst they are at it!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh having a nightmare. Just been to look at carpet fitting progress and it is not the one I had the samples for, similar name. Trouble is my order is for the other 'wrong name' despite me giving them the sample piece for the one I wanted. Really don't like this one. hoping they can sort it out.
