Morning everyone
Glad the carpet will be sorted Dusty.
Hope you are OK after treatment 2 CY?
Lovely sunny day here so about to get on - but forgot to buy milk!! So that's the first port of call. Then we are doing an hour's gardening before going to the library and Museum - to collect my forgotten cardi. This lunchtime time I am at the ch shop for an extra shift whilst DH watches the qualifying for GP. This afternoon we may just sit out - whilst we can - and look at our efforts of this morning!!!!
Have a good day everyone.July 16 £95/£200

Well I decluttered a long overdue night out, which was heaps of fun, and I'm now back home with coffee, and FIL is on his way with the kiddies, so I will take DD to try out this new ballet class.
She says she won't dance without an outfit. They won't give her the outfit till they've seen her dance :rotfl: Should be interesting...Bossymoo

Morning all
Everyone here has had a much needed lie in here. DH has gone off for his run. I'm making a cuppa then shower, WM to put on and start moving stuff back as no idea when new carpet will arrive so no point in leaving house totally upside down.
CY hope you are not feeling too bad today.
Frizzle rest, I know it's frustrating but this part will pass.
Enjoy your Saturday ladies and try to make a little me time. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I've spent 1.5 hours in DD's BR helping her to sort it which she is still doing and now I've spent 1.5 hours on DS's BR after he'd made a start but it's disgusting. They both need finishing - DS has gone out to play for a couple of hours which is probably a good job or else I'd have probably killed him. I need to go and pick DD's new to her bed up this afternoon, DS's is in the conservatory as I got that yesterday so their current bed's need dismantling. DH is at work until sometime this afternoon so I don't when they're going to get done.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to be running a tombola stall but seeing as it has given out rain, I'm going to make the call in the morning whether we are going or not as intermittent showers aren't too bad - torrential rain all day like we had the other year means we make no money and just get soaked and the prizes ruined!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

CY all of this seems a bit of an extreme sacrifice on your part to ensure the rest of us get a bit of sunshine. I'd happily have torrential rain and thunderstorms for the rest of the year if it would make you better.paddypaws101 wrote: »Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post but you all seem such cleaning experts I hope you can help.
I recently bought
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JML-Scrubber-Cleaning-Brush-Four-Scrubbing-Heads-Battery-Power-Cleaner-Tool-/271813123363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f49531d23 and have found it really helpful to clean the grout lines on my Amtico flooring, as well as lots of other little areas. I would like something similar but larger to deep clean the whole floor area.
So far I have found this
http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/coopers-of-stortford-multi-surface-floor-cleaner-prodst09222i/
which looks good...but I have limited storage space so would prefer something handheld
Ebay has these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-Scrub-Brush-Upholstery-Car-Carpet-Mat-5-Round-with-Power-Drill-Attachment-/151369922595?hash=item233e59b823
but they have to come from usa and I am not sure how easy it would be to hold a heavy hand drill to use them
Is there ANYthing else that anyone can recommend?
Little and often, to be honest, so that nothing builds up. If you really like the Amtico flooring (my parents loved theirs) then I think you'd probably find following their instructions would make life a lot easier. If you don't absolutely love it and you can afford to replace it with something easier to look after that would probably be a better bet.
I'd be very, very wary of the fierceness of the drill attachments; anything like that can wreck a finish once and for all.
How disappointing, Dusty, after all the effort you've gone to to get the rooms ready for recarpetting. The jam might be very gloopy but if you add a bit of hot water and give it a bit of a stir even though it won't set it'll taste fine. (As I know from bitter experience.)
Superking turned around again, chalet weekend organized with bestest friends so that the dogs can have a race around at low tide this afternoon and OH and I can go to the AGM tomorrow.
Happy holidays, Valli!Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon fellow flypeeps.
I feel pretty good given that I had chemo 2 days ago. This one didn't need me to take any big anti sickness tablets or steroids.
My sister is talking about bringing mum up to see me tomorrow, which would be nice.
Just taking it easy today. DS is out, DH is playing cricket and DD1 is at work, so just me and DD2 here. Going to try and sort out the clean clothes and put away what doesn't need ironing...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
DH has wood-stained the shed, the surrounding slabs, the step ladders and himself. He has now run out of it so I have had to hold my breath not to mention if he had been more careful he would have had enough
I have cleaned out my food cupboards and the corner one of doom.
Cleaned a fridge compartment and helped to put away a delivery from Mr T's.
I have sorted the airing cupboard and folded the towels Skinty style.
S&s the bathroom
Cleaned a work top and shined the sink.
DH has henried the house
I've changed ds2's bed and picked up the mountain of tissues down the side of the bunks
Ds1 has gone to work. I think it is his first ever payday today.0 -
Aww, DD was bustled into the new ballet class and her little toes were pointing within minutes. She wore a pretty skirt with netting under so was an acceptable half-way house. Had a peek through the door a few times, and she was joining in despite insisting she wanted to stop altogether;) luckily mum knows her better.
The other mums were all really chatty and friendly, and DD came out beaming. And we've ordered the new gear in the right colour:)
This afternoon I've sorted through a mountain of bedding and my spare room looks like a rather messy linen shop. I'll finish up when the wee ones are in bed, they are being a bit challenging. Two sleeps at granny's and they come home grotty mannered...
Oh I've also done a meal plan and an online shop :T and planned some activities for next week - I'm off work, hurrah!Bossymoo

Gave miss muddy paws her last tablet. She is better
Been dealing with a carthorse-sized BD.:(
Hoping the two Westies who have just arrived can scare it off. I have now had 50 different dogs come for their holidays with me.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
