  • Ahh I always used do coinstar, even though I know it charges.

Although recently I've put a coin purse in my bag with change in and I use at self service tills as most shops have them nowadays. Although It irritates people if there's a queue;) so I try to go if it's quiet or not many people in the queue.

My month has been complicated so I'm going to join in again next month (&stick to it!) But I'll pop on every now and again until then.

    Nice bargains t14ty c!!

I managed to NOT do my weekly shop yesterday. I always go to aldililly on a Sunday for the weekly shop, but the children are with their sad this week, so I don't really need anything as I can live off the random stuff lurking around... Just off to find out what's for my dinner tonight!

Due to lots of other expenses, I have next to no money left for the rest of the month now, so must be as frugal as possible. I feel a fiscal fast coming on!

I dont have much left either. Whats a fiscal fast?
  • I did the weekly shop over the weekend and was trying really hard to get it to $38. I failed miserably and spent $51.59 instead. I tried not to be too disappointed but it did mean chances of coming in on target are pretty low. THEN when I glanced at the receipt last night to see how much the fruit had cost, I noticed I had been charged twice for a huge tub of yogurt I had bought which was $7.99. So I went back this morning and they refunded it so my spend was only $43.60 which is much closer to budget! I do usually look at my receipts but this just shows how important it is to make sure! So I am much more hopeful about getting to the end of the month on budget now. Fingers crossed!

It means you don't spend any money ;)

We went shopping over the weekend and spent

    Sa*ers........£ 4.98 (more N*scafe)
    A*di...........£ 11.81
Morrys........£ 23.17 (quite a bit of meat and frozen)
    L*dl...........£ 2.29

So a total of £ 42.25 added to siggie, leaving nearly £ 74 to the end of the month. This should be doable, if I'm careful, as have bones of meals in now and will just need milk, pack-ups, fruit and veg.

Hope you all having a great week

Another £40 today at Aldo,s - this included a bottle of gin, as we enjoy a G&T of an evening.

2 weeks till payday and it's going to be a bit tight, but hoping I,ll scrap in - School Hol,s are meaning DS is grazing all day, which adds up.....
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Maria 3104, I will check my policy but I have not kept any receipts for the food. On the plus side I had a no spend day as well as eating the shallots from my garden :o
  • Sorry haven't posted my weeks shopping total as my laptop has been playing up. Did my weekly shop on Friday and spent £45 at Ald!. Had a few extra spends over the weekend. Treat as it was the last few days of OH's holiday. Spent a further £16.94 over the weekend. But that was instead of a take away and going to the pub one night :)
