    Hi Everyone,
I keep dipping in and out but tend to lurk looking at people's ideas. Am desperate to save money and need all the help I can get. Foodwise can be difficult as DD1 is vegetatian ad DD2 is coelic and dairy free. Went to waitrose to buy goats milk £1.60 for 1l, whilst there they had cake packets reduced half price £1.25 each. Popped into Iceland and bought McCains oven chips £1.50 (DD2 able to have these too!) and picked a chip tray free (worth £5). Next, off to Aldi to buy the super six. Have just come back from hoildays to find the electric had tripped and all my food in the freezer ruined - not happy bunny.

Is goats milk not dairy? Or do you buy that for a different reason.

How annoying about the freezer :-( if that happened to us we'd be hundreds out of pocket

The goats milk has different proteins that don't upset DD2 tummy whereas cows milk makes her gassy and bloats her so badly she actually looks pregnant :

Ah yeah, I'm familiar with the bloating so much you look pregnant, but I'm intolerant to lactose not the proteins so I probably wouldn't be able to have goats milk anyway

    Hi guys.

I was a bit sneaky today. I have had a tin of 1p's and 2p's lying around the house for months, and didnt want to bag them up to take to the bank. Lazy!
So i noticed one of those coinstar machines in Tesco the other day and took it along today and changed it. There was only £9ish in there, but it paid for some fruit :) Not sure whether to include that in my GC budget or not?

I have been doing much better so far this month :)

Oh dear this month is hard :o

Just did a shop at Mr T's and spent £21.94 on groceries, £1 on toiletries/household and £2.25 on cat food.

This leaves us at £116.90/£120 for groceries, £13.90/£15 on toiletries and household, and £13.37/£15 on cat stuff with two weeks still to go in the month :eek:

Now I have meal planned up to the end of the month and am hoping not to do another 'proper' shop (until Sat 29th when we're having a barbecue but I've saved for that separately) but I will need more milk (probably two more tbh), we will possibly run out of veg and DH will definitely need more cola (a luxury but I won't be able to get him to go without it... at least he drinks own brand now as when I met him he only drank C*ca C*la or at a push P*psi, so it was very expensive).

My total so far this month is £160.45/£400. I have a Morries order arriving on Sunday evening, so that will go up by about another £50. :)

Glad you found the stash but these machines charge you 9.9% to count the pennies for you  They are best steered clear of IMHO.

If I included such savings I would think of it as adding £9 ish to my budget for the month, as it's not money saved by budgeting as such. I don't know what others think ??

I had to buy yoghurt and some salad stuff today so spent £2.47 which I've added to my signature. I am hoping for an NSD the morrow but will have to get a small shop on Sunday. Still, I am on £84/200 atm so fingers xd should be okay as that's half-way through the month this weekend ;)

Hope you all have a super weekend

    Hello,

I normally do my aldililly shop on a Sunday morning, but as it's just me for a whole week, I'm not going to bother. Let's see how long I can last without shopping! My aim is to make it until next Sat, as the children are back Sunday, but even then, there'll only be a few things I need.

Hope you all have great weekends planned :) x

I'd add it to my monthly income. I do this with all income, , including swagbucks earnings, overtime pay and so on. Since it's unbudgeted cash, it would probably end up in savings, unless it was needed for something else.

I avoid coinstar machines too, but I can see that they have their uses.
