Hi MT
This came into my mailbox and I thought you might like it
It's nearly time for resolutions isn't it? I do like this moment - all that energy gathering and poised!

I've got journal envy lol. Not bought one yet. Might have left it too late.

Thank you Rosa, I did like that. I've signed up for the emails now too, so I won't miss any. I'm really liking her style. Thank you for the introduction.
I still have resolutions to write out, but I'm constantly thinking of things. I don't want a big grand gesture this year, just small steps to keep me on the right path of where I want to be.

Hello Tink. You're not too late with a journal at all. I bought a beautiful hand stitched journal from Paperchase a few months back and I now use that to write everything in. So it's not a yearly planner or anything like that, just a lined notebook. Although, I do use index markers for things I need to often refer back to, and also different colour pens based on what I'm writing about. Pink is for intentions, purple is for brain dumping and blue is for ideas!!!!! I also have little stickers to brighten it all up and give me visual reminders. It sounds so sad, but it's got such an organised feel to it and I know what's where without having to read through pages and pages to find a snippet of an idea I wrote weeks ago
.

Hi MT
Glad you had a good Christmas. I'm working this week too, so you're not alone.
Happy New Year and I look forward to reading your goals

Hello Emz. Lovely to see you here again. I've been keeping up with your diary, but just don't post much.
So, today has been quite uneventful. I'm in work and looked at how much amazon promotional money I have. It was almost £9 so I spent it all on books in the kindle sale. Although I have Prime, I very rarely request next day delivery as I'm happy to wait a day or two longer and get a £1 promotional credit. I think I end up earning more in promotional credit than I pay for the Prime membership. I also managed to benefit from the £3 credit with a couple of christmas gifts.
I've checked my online mystery shop again and it's still unvetted. That's really not like them to specify a deadline and then not check the submission.
SBTV just going on now and that can run in the background and earn me 10 SB's.
Yesterday I moved the music from Peter Kay's car share onto my music player and listened to that on the journey home and into work this morning. It's a really good playlist. I need to make a note of some of the songs I particularly like.
Our networks crashed today, so I made the most of the time by completely organising my work area. So I have a minimalist desk with all project work put together and organised. I don't work Mondays, but should be ready to really move forward from Tuesday next week. That will be a shock having a busy department again after such a quiet couple of weeks.
So does anyone have any lovely NYE plans ready?

I am re-reading both Desire Map and some Martha Beck - I like having both the fiery, focused go-get-em from Danielle and the flaky follow-your-heart-even-when-it-sounds-bonkers from Martha.
Similarly to you, I am not going to make grand declarations this year - mostly because my main declaration is I'm not making decisions til later :rotfl:MuffinTops wrote: »Hello Tink. I have stationery envy now too! That's very organised and also so sensible.
Tink, there are so many beautiful journals around, and planners, and binders... there will be the right thing for you (and now it may be in the sale too:money:).

Ooh good tip MT, thank you - I have student Prime now as it was free for 6 months, didn't realise I could get credit by picking slower delivery.
I've just been invited to dinner with friends on NYE, so am going to do that - I was going to have a very quiet evening planning what I want to be different by the end of the year, but have decided evenings in good company should not be turned down. That should probably be one of my 2016 rules. So I will do the planning another time.
I am also working today, though I confess it's a nice relaxed day at home as I am reading and collating things. I'm enjoying being at home to have room for my whiteboard to scribble on and to just think about things while I do the washing up etc

I just love stationery too. I've picked a lined notebook up today as my brain really does need dumping lol.
Decided I might have a quiet night in now. I downloaded some free budget printables to use along side YNAB as I still love putting pen to paper.

There's a new version of YNAB! I only found out yesterday when my phone app showed a little banner saying 'classic' and I thought "huh??" and went to the website. There's a free trial of the new one, but I haven't managed to find the price yet. It does look rather good though. It won't let me start with a January budget yet though - so guess what I'm doing tomorrow
