Thank you Sam, I really needed that hug. I've put the chocolate on a nice little platter to entice visitors.

I've not been on for a while as life has taken a bit of a difficult turn for me and I'm feeling really low.

Spends haven't been too bad, and I should have caught up with earlier spending sprees soon, but Black Friday mixed with this black mood is a bit of a worry! I should probably avoid all internet shopping tomorrow as there really is nothing I need. If I look I'd best restrict myself to Christmas gifts only!!!

Things with Mr 3TL have taken a bit of a turn. I'm not really up to explaining things at the moment, but the current status is that I'm giving him the time and space he needs to get a few things sorted out which has been ongoing and getting steadily worse since my last update. He and I haven't fallen out or had any bad words.

I did do my training course, which was fantastic. I really enjoyed it, although I'm not confident that I passed the exam. It's just one hour long and involves a lot of writing, and having to use the correct terminology, so I'll have to wait and see. I did get a pass mark from the other exam I took though so onwards and upwards.

Work wise is still up in the air. I finally had my meeting today which was positive. I'll wait and see what happens there, but I'm in the lucky position that I can't really lose no matter what happens.

Financially, December is a scary month. I've been saving Amazon vouchers all year, so should get the majority of things there, but there's bound to be a few odds and ends I need to buy elsewhere. I'll have to see what I can do.

I hope everyone is having a better month than I'm having. I've read a few dairies and the darkness seems to have hit a few, but I hope that's not true of any of my lovely forum reading friends.

I'll definitely be updating more as now is the time I really need to regain control and push ahead.

  • Hi MT

More hugs from me... sorry to hear things are not going so well with Mr 3TL, though glad that your job situation is OK. Fingers crossed for your exam result too.

I think it's a transitional time of year at the minute, moods are a bit unsettled. Hopefully it will all feel better once we get into December and it's properly time to celebrate with friends and family, not just the endlessly extended shopping nonsense.

Thank you Rosa. I'm hoping things will settle down soon. I'm not good when I'm so far out of my comfort zone! xx

Today I've already spent more than anticipated, but that was on food shopping and included no treats. Just lots of fresh foods to help boost my mood.

I've got two radio shows to do on my own today, which is quite good as I'd struggle to boost other people's energy levels today I think. I've just got to find some obscure news items to chat about and then I'm ready to go.

It's quite mild out again today, although I have had to put my heating on while I'm home.

This week I'm going to do lots of decluttering and have a bigger car to take my larger items off to hopefully get a bit of a cash injection. I'll keep coming here to update.

It's FRIDAY!!!! Have a great weekend everyone. MTxx
  • Have a lovely weekend MT - I will also be decluttering though probably not as thoroughly as you!

Must also point out that regardless of what happens with Mr 3TL, you are always Jackpot Lady :D

Oh my goodness, I have some financial confessions to make!!! On Friday I had 2 men knock at my house who were cutting trees down in a house across from mine. They offered to cut my tree down, which is scarily large and scares me with all the strong winds we're having. The truth is, I knew I needed to get that sorted this week, so I let them give me a quote. £400 to cut it to a level that I'd feel safe. I told him that was far too much on the approach to Christmas, so we managed to haggle it to £300. Which is what I paid last time I had it cut down so far, which was around 8 years ago.

Then, my shower broke and the replacement (like for like to make it easier to get it replaced) was £210.00. :o So my savings have taken a hit.

I'm actually ok with the tree money as I knew that needed to be done. Buying and replacing the shower I'm not so impressed with, although it is around 10 years old so it clung on well.

So, during my decluttering I've managed to dig out a few items that I think I can sell for a reasonable price to help claw back some funds. I'll let you know how that goes on Tuesday.

Other than that, not much to report. I won't go on about Mr 3TL until something happens, nothing has so far. I did go and buy a few bits of shopping this morning and have shop and scanned that receipt. I also had a look at my current work dresses and they desperately need replacing. I'm on a health binge this week so I think I'll see where that gets me and maybe renew my wardrobe for the new year. It's difficult to tell with the department changes hanging over me.

That's it for me. I've started on some decluttering and oh my goodness I really am a stationery addict!!!!! So no more buying anything for me until my house is empty of all other items!!!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. Thank you for your lovely words and support too. That really means a lot.
