I went to the JS to sign-on yesterday and the lady was 'warning' me that from next October when it will be 12mths i've been unemployed i'll get transferred from seeing her to see someone that will make me do any job they offer me or get sanctioned.
I asked her how WTC may affect me if i could find a p/t job, and she printed off a few examples. If i were to work 15hrs i'd be £2 worse off than i am now; but one extra hour working 16hrs i'd be £23 better off. If i can find a 30hr job i'll be £123 better off. Based on being paid Minimum Pay.
She had logged onto EntitledTo.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

They weren't clear on this at all. Michael Gove said of tax credits, "We're going to freeze them for two years, we are not going to cut them."0 -
Would anyone be able to help me work out what my award will be from next April
I am a single parent working 30hrs. I imagine my salary will be around £16350 by end of year.
Youngest is 8yrs old, childcare averages around £15 a week with school clubs.
My eldest is 17, will remain in full time education.
He is autistic and currently gets middle rate DLA but currently going through PIP application.
Thank you if anyone can assist0 -

Thank you Blonde Bubbles, much appreciated.
Tax credits are a lifeline for me, I hope to increase my hours at some point but it is difficult as sometimes I need time off for appointments with my son and also there are no extra hours available at this moment in time
Thanks again0 -

Hi, wonder if anyone can give me any idea of my tax credits for 2016/17? I am single, work 25 hours a week and get the disabled element for wtc (I know they haven't announced disability element rate for next year). I worked out that I would get £4,697 for the year but don't think this can be right! I wouldn't be losing anything!
I use my tax credits to pay for care for my father whilst I'm working. I can't work full time as Dad has doctor, hospital appointments, etc, which I have to take him to. I work nights so that I'm available during the day to care for him, etc.
Thanks for any help / info.

Sorry forgot to say that I earn £9667 a year. Don't know if this will change during the year. Thanks.0
