Hmm probably.
Hopefully I'll have been able to get the extra 4 hours before they inevitably do.0 -

They promised for the duration of this election that child benefits would not be hit. They were clear that it was CB not CTC and when repeatedly asked they said CB wouldn't be cut.
They could change their mind but IDS already got told no when he tried to make it £50k household (it's £50k earner at present) so I think it's doubtful for a while.Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0 -
Sorry had to get the info as its for my sil
Earnings were 9124.80 last tax year and she expects that to stay the same unless there's any changes to nmw in Scotland
Thank you0 -

Oh thank god for that.
I'll be heavily relying on it to help with childcare until I can find more hours when I return from maternity leave.
The nmw would have helped, but I've learnt I'm not even old enough to get it, how ridiculous!0 -
This years income should be 9124.80.
With change to national minimum wage next year should be 10294.40
Thank you0 -
Yes she works 30 hours but she had unpaid sickness so that is what she is estimating her income to provided she has no more time off unpaid.0

That was my calculation but I thought the Personal allowance was only 10000, what calculator are you using and I can check it out myself when I can get the figures right

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum and I would really appreciate it if someone can tell me if I will be eligible for tax credits next year?
I am a lone parent with one child and my gross pay for 14/15 was £21,620.78, I think it will be lower for the 15/16 tax year but not by more than £2500.
Can anyone help?
Thanks0 -
Blondebubbles, hope u don't mind but I have messaged for advice0

Hi Blondebubbles
Thanks for getting back to me, I think it will probably be around £20,000. It's hard to say as I sometimes earn a bonus but I know up to know I haven't earned nearly as much bonus as I did last year. Sorry to sound thick but are you saying if I earn more than £20,500 I won't be eligible to any tax credits?0
