3. Cook a roast beef dinner (looking forward to that one),
4. [STRIKE]Pop into Tesco to see what yellow stickered things I can find[/STRIKE],

I think that's it for today. A few things have shown up before, but I usually to little bits each day. Let's see if I can finish a few of my tasks off today!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
I'm feeling broody today. We've been visiting a family member who had her little boy a couple of weeks ago, and someone else I know has had a baby today. Am I a little too old to be stamping my feet on the floor (similar to my 2 year old) and in a huffy voice say "I want a baby!!!"? A little, maybe?
After having my son, broodiness stayed away. Until very recently that is. Unfortunately my work situation isn't stable enough at the moment to bring another child into it. So.......instead of sulking, I have decided to make a plan of attack. I mean, I only have around 7ish years of being able (and not wanting too big an age gap) to have another baby.
1. Work through current contract. Probably until the end of October, but possibly longer (Christmas perhaps),
2. Start serious job hunt (but within reason. I'm not accepting a job for the sake of it, supply should keep me going until I find something I'd really like to do.). Aim to be in new, permanent job by Easter 2016.
3. Pay off as much of the loan as possible within 2 years.
4. Early Summer 2017 start trying for baby number 2 (last time we decided to (not try but let's come off the pill and see if something happens) I was pregnant within 6 weeks.
5. If things happen as quickly as they did last time (I know it could be a completely different story, but this is my ideal plan!!), have baby between March-May 2018.
Will things happen like this? Who knows? But I do like having something to work towards, and I'd love my little boy to have a brother or sister (or both).
Anyway, back on planet earth, the beef is roasting away. I'm aiming for med-rare. I honestly don't remember the last time I cooked a joint of beef, it's always chicken here) so I've got everything crossed it comes out beautifully. I think a bottle of red will be enjoyed with it tonight (may as well drink all I can now if I'm planning on being pregnant within the next 3 years :rotfl: ).
Eeeeeek, still haven't sorted the pictures for printing. Must do now!!!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -

Having the plan is already putting you much closer to it happening! I guess we can't plan life but we can definitely make our intentions concrete. :beer:0 -

Grrrrrrrrr! Men!!!!!
I have been sorting out the photos for printing this evening. The problem these days is it's so easy to take a photo you end up taking 10 of the same thing (well I do anyway). My job was to go through and delete, delete, delete. Half way through the albums, a couple of hours later, dh decides to give me a break.....he'll do it. At 10:15pm he calls it a night so I decide to upload some pictures to make the most of the offer before it ends tonight.
Checking through to see which pictures to upload I see 12 of the same photo. I ask dh why, his response, it's a nice photo and the facial expressions are slightly different in each one. Grrrrrrrr!! Who's going to want to look through photo albums and see the same picture 12 times?? And, I'm pretty sure I don't want to pay for the same picture 12 times. This isn't with just one picture, though. Nope. Every ****** one pretty much. I have no idea what he's just spent hours doing, just looking through and admiring the pictures I think! Grrrrrrrrr!! It means I need to go through them all again now. Men!!! I know, he was only trying to help, but serves me right for passing the buck!!!
Anyway (and breathe!!!),the beef was pretty nice. Roasties were yummy and cooked in the beef juice. Ds loves his food, but doesn't often finish anything completely.......he cleared his plate!
I've sold a couple of ebay things today, so have made £13.20 after fees and postage. Added that to the emergency fund, which brings it to £1132.78. Hopefully won't be too long before the books get paid for as well, which should be another £15 ish. Oooooh, and dh should be getting a bonus at the beginning of September. He reckons it will be around £600 (everything crossed). That will mean I'm not far off my £2000 emergency fund target before starting to pay things back. Step one is paying back the inlaws. We still owe them £1100 after they lent is £2600 for a car. They're brilliant about it and aren't pushing for it at all, but I'd love to get them paid off. After that it's time to overpay the loan to knock a few months/years off it.Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
Well I managed to order pictures last night at 11:15pm! I still have loads more that need ordering but I think I'll wait for another offer before ordering them otherwise I'll spend a small fortune!
Monday morning, again. Ds is at nursery today (though is still fast asleep at the moment!!) so I'm going to have a quiet day. Decided to make my own Chinese takeaway tonight for dinner, using a couple of different dishes so will attempt them during the day today so they can just be reheated tonight. Other than that, today's list is:
1. [STRIKE]Check YNAB and bank accounts[/STRIKE],
2. [STRIKE]Post eBay sales[/STRIKE],
3. Paint crafts orders,
4. Read current book,
5. [STRIKE]Prepare this week's shopping list,[/STRIKE]
6. [STRIKE]Eat Slimming world friendly food[/STRIKE],
7. No alcohol day,
8. All meals from stores.
I'm actually leaving it there for now, and trying to remember the fact that I'm on holidayand have the day to myself!!

I really need to be asleep by this time of night, not just crawling into bed where I spend another hour browsing these forums! :rotfl:
Food wise, I've been ok today. Alcohol wise, not so goodDh brought home a bottle of wine to go with dinner. Well it would've been rude not to drink it!! I did share, of course
I made Chinese takeaway style food tonight - a Chinese chicken curry, beef chow mein, egg fried rice and crispy chilli beef. Must admit it was yum! Made loads, though, so have enough for tomorrow night! Even ds sat at the table for over 30 minutes munching away! I'm glad he doesn't eat food like that often, though - I dread to think of the salt content with the soy sauce
I've had a good look around job sites today, and it has made me feel very fed upBeing a teacher your qualifications mean you can......teach. Nothing else. That's how it feels when I browse the job sites and see all these jobs, but they all want experience/qualifications that I don't have. Feeling fed up with it before I'm even able to start applying for anything. I'm definitely not in a position to start training or going to college, there's no way I could afford that. There are days I think a lottery win would be lovely! :rotfl:
I'm already dreading the return to work in September. For the last week or so I've slept pretty well. 7:20 this morning (I think!). On a fortnight I'll be back to being awake for hours every night, and then being shattered every day and also dreading the going to work feeling. It really makes me believe I need a career change. It's so frustrating!
Right, that enough moaning and complaining for one night :rotfl: Time for bed (or at least time to browse a few forums, though I will keep off the mfw one - I went on it earlier and then decided we could be mf one day and then move to a new house. I then started looking at houses for sale and found a lovely one. It was only almost £700,000. Like I said earlier, a lottery win would be lovely!!!). Tuesday morning. Ds isn't at nursery today. We're going visiting this morning, not sure about this afternoon after nap time yet. Won't get many chores done, but my aims today are:
1. [STRIKE]Check YNAB and bank accounts[/STRIKE],
2. [STRIKE]Meals from stores[/STRIKE],
3. [STRIKE]Low spend day (do need to buy dummies for ds, he still has them for sleep and is not biting them so we're down to 2. They're disappearing by Christmas......it's my aim!! He'll use any, though, so I buy the Tesco value ones!)[/STRIKE].
4. [STRIKE]No alcohol day (I'm thinking this needs to be slightly more successful than yesterday!)[/STRIKE].
5. Slimming world friendly food (yesterday wasn't too bad food wise, it was the wine that was the problem!!).Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500
