Are you hangry Mrs Save? Good on you for sticking with it - I couldn't do a fast day unless my life depended on it I think...Not giving up

I'm actually not too bad! Thought I'd be far worse. Had soup at around 3pm, then another at 6pm. This evening I've had raw babycorn and mangetout to munch on and now I've just had a sugar free jelly pot. I think keeping most of my 500 calories until later on in the day worked! It's also good to know that tomorrow I can go back to eating what I want, and may still lose a pound!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500

Wow, good on you for the fast day. I haven't done one in forever but my mum used to occasionally fast (nothing but water) when I was a kid for a day at a time. Just because she felt it was good for health reasons.
I would have to do it on a day I'm not at work otherwise the hanger might get me fired! Whoops!0 -
Just a quick update tonight as I've got a thumping headache and I'm already tucked up in bed!
I'm pleased to say that this weekend hasn't been spendyDh took ds swimming, which was £3.50, had a little late night supermarket splurge of £5 and I spent £3 in the Range today. All in all I don't think that's too bad for a whole weekend! I have sold 1 thing on eBay, which after fees and postage left me with a grand total of £1.04. I need to post that tomorrow.
I've been having a serious think this weekend about where I want to take my career and have done lots of reading. It's going to be a lot of hard work to move away from where I am into a field where I have no qualifications or experience, but I think I'll start by doing a couple of courses from home which will give me the tiniest insight into my chosen field!
Tomorrow is going to be another fast day. Half of me is looking forward to it, because the morning after my last one my stomach felt a lot less bloated than usual! I hope this headache shifts by then, though! I should also be able to see tomorrow what my pay will be on Tuesday (it shows in lending transactions the day before it comes into the account!!). That means I'll be able to work out how tight it will be for September and how much I'll need to take from the emergency fund. Well it's 1:15pm and I have yet to eat!! So far, so good. Will have something soon, though. Decided to eat little throughout the day, so that I can have dinner with dh and ds. Tuna steaks tonight. Yum!!
I checked my pending transactions today, and can see what tomorrow's wages will be. I'm not going to have to touch my emergency fundIt will be a tight month, though.
Obviously what's the best thing to do on a fast day......anything that involves food :rotfl: So far today I have started planning our September meal plan and started the shopping list for our big monthly shop. I may do the shop this week, though, instead of wait until the start of next month as I'm off this week and back in work next weekI can't say I'm particularly looking forward to going back.
I've done a bit more research today into new job/career. I have worked out our monthly expenses and after looking at what dh earns each month I have worked out how much I need to bring home to make sure everything's paid and we have enough for food/petrol and any other extras. It worked out to be less than I thought, which is good. It means that I'll have more opportunities to start gaining experience. :j Exciting!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -
I really hope that new career/job research is paying off! So exciting to have a new horizon ahead of you!!!
Good luck - she who dares wins!

That sounds like a really sensible way to do it! Now at least you know exactly what salary you need to be aiming for. :j0
