    This is a sad thread.

    My grand daughter is very bright, but she's on the autistic spectrum, so I can imaging her asking very detailed (and possibly poorly informed) questions, then getting irritated when she didn't get literal answers; especially if she'd lost both parents.

    I undertand posters who think their advice is being disregrded, but if it was my family member on the slippery slope, I'd hate to think that people would come on a public website accusing her of being irrational, "mad" or "mentally ill" even if her responses were snippy.

    Immaterial, as the OP has gone, but just in case you're still there, I've sent you a PM based on my own experience.
