I love spreadsheets too
well done Sazzie sounds like you are doing great.
With 2nd hand cars - I agree, there is some luck. I now use AA/ RAC to do a check on any car I buy having been stung before. I figure the cost of the inspection is an investment in not buying something that will go bang as soon as I'm out of sight of the seller. Either that or buying from a friend/ neighbour where possible.Debt at highest - June 2013 - 26k/ March 2018 - 2500

I love my spreadsheets. Keep at it Sazzie, you will get there!
Yes I've missed them:D, hopefully I can keep them up to date again now I've caught up.
Looking at the figures I think I've been charged after the date I told them I couldn't make more than a token amount. Thinking of sending a 'please refund the charges' letter, can I quote something about going to FoS if they don't action it?

Don't see why not. You don't have to be nasty and threatening, just say something along the lines of that if you are not happy with the outcome to your request you will take the matter further.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Hi All, back to the grind after a cheeky (saved up for) holiday. Even managed to be a DFW in Spain and brought 250 Euros home from my spends.
Don't think will be doing this next year though, was a little touch and go on the funding before I got paid while away, but was first holiday in 4 years.
Had the final BC letter re default though so if the noddle site wasn't down would be logging in to check if any are on my file.0 -
Hi all, been on dmp for 2 years now ( in this for the long haul) everything running smoothly, just done review and increased payment a little (every bit helps) BUT now i have a problem... My old faithful car is about to fail its MOT miserably, have got my emergency fund, but i think its gonna be a case of sending my little car to scrapheap heaven... So now what? I need a car for work and havent got enough to buy another? My nerves are shot... I know its only a car but i really dont see a solution to this... We have scrimped and saved so hard for the past 2 years and im exhausted by it all. Any ideas welcome...0

Hi,
Unfortunately cars are the bain of the dmp'ers life...!! My little old banger may not make it to the end of my dmp as she's 13 now and I have a good few more years paying back my debts to go. My plan if needs be is to borrow from the bank of mum, do you have any relatives you could borrow from? You could reduce your payments to the dmp of course but that drags it out even longer...
Hope you find an answer.

MY DIARY http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=47686850 -
Hi all
Haven't posted for a while but read most days to catch up, hope everyone is keeping well. Our DMP officially starts on Tuesday when Stepchange take their first payment - feels like a new beginning
I also had some fantastic news - I have been successful in getting a promotion at work :j I will also be increasing my hours from 16 to 24 and this will make a big difference to our income. We won't see much of it for a while as we will lose child tax credits because of it (but we would have been loosing them anyway in April when the big changes come in) plus extra nursery fees. However next Spetember when eldest starts school we will be able to chuck a lot more at the DMP and even more the following year when youngest starts. Im already excited at the prospect of getting that DFW date down
Will be starting a DFW diary on Tuesday too to mark start of DMP - exciting times!
