I've had a very small success - I submitted a poem I wrote about my son (who possibly has ASD) to a magazine, and it looks like it is going to be published (although I don't know when). There's no prize or anything (it's a charity), but it's the first time I've even dared to submit anything, so I'm really pleased!

oh, wow Snaggles well done!!!!
I entered a poem competition about 2 years ago for the Slimming World Magazine. It was with Hellmans Mayo. I got the runner's up prize of a jar of Mayonnaise and a cool bag and my poem was printed. I was really proud of that, although first prize was a 14 night cruise...........so near and yet so far!!!!!!

Hello everyone. Just a reminder that the Lady competition ends this weekend, and there is £1000 waiting to be won!
I have written half my story and am determined to finish and submit it. I just can't decide whether the heroine should opt for romance and marriage or a glittering career in the court of the French Queen. Opinions welcome!
If anyone else is struggling to finish a story on time and wants to share progress and give moral support, I'd like that too (though I can't quite work out how we'd do it)Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Oooooh, glittering career with a glimmer of possible romance right at the end......lol!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
