We ordered 26 loafs of bread and the order was over the £25 min order from asda, 19 were out of stock and substituted, were rejected them all and were not charged a premium fee for small order.

I did that with Waitrose! I ordered about 20 bars of my favourite chocolate (£1.89 each..) to bring the order up to the minimum. They only had 11, I rejected the substitutions, and was not charged for delivery.

I'd say that was useful tactic: order large quantities of non-perishable items you know you will use over time, (as long as you have room for them) - if they supply them, you've lost nothing, if they can't, you've gained. :-)

Iceland have now dropped their free delivery £35.00 minimum spend to £30.00. The promotion is for a limited period and expires on the 5th February.

In any case, I now shop fortnightly with Tesco where it used to be weekly. So instead of spending £25 a week, I now spend about £40 a fortnight. Great business acumen, Tesco!

You have no idea how much it costs Tesco to pick, pack & deliver 2 * £25 deliveries compared to 1 * £40 delivery , so you dont know how much profit/loss Tesco are making from you now compared to previous ?

As I do Click'n'Collect not Home Delivery, then yes, I'm pretty sure.

    Hi All,
Just went online to do Mum`s shopping and have found even if you buy a delivery pass, you have to spend a minimum of £40???
We have just lost Dad and now to find she has to spend this amount is outrageous!!
Has anyone have any suggestions as to where it is £25??
    Frustrated Suzanne:mad:

as discussed on the ongoing thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5145803 its area specific.

Your links show as £40 for me with a delivery pass but £25 without one.

  • Unfortunately they are all playing catch-up with each other. And pretending that online customers cost them more, when in reality it's far less. I doubt you'll find a £25 minimum spend anymore.

I now do it fortnightly, and stock up the freezer. Tesco's loss.
