a question please for any of the car experts on the group
Eldest son was looking at a car at a dealership on their webpage and he rang and made enquires and possibly also an appointment for a test drive. I also rang and asked a few questions next day.
Last night I checked the link that eldest son had sent me and the price has gone done by £450
why would a dealership drop the price of a car when they knew that they def had one interested person - this feels a bit suss to me or is this one of their Known Tactics for getting a sale?
I have no idea on this, but could it be the person running the website had instructions to drop the price on day X and had no other contact with the dealership?
Bear in mind, people often go around having a few test drives and compare them. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
It is difficult to get a balance
A few year ago we were approached by two different associations to help folk with disabilities back into work or even just work experience Sadly despite all our best efforts we could not sustain the trials we were not the right type of business Fast food
My young cousin has 1 day a week in small family cafe. She has Downs syndrome and it a real paid job for her but I doubt they could sustain her with full time work
MORNING
We have also been trying to help people back to work but not any more, we are at the moment being threatened by one guy who took the pee for two years, stole, was rude and generally didn't turn up, we extended his time as we felt sorry for his situation ( he has small children), he is now getting people to call us from all sorts of official departments and is claiming unfair working practice, underpayment, bullyiing...you name it.
We are actually thousands out of pocket and can never replace some of the tools stolen, we just can't afford it0 -
I had a caller last week (at the bank) who had paid more than the advertised price and only found out after taking delivery. You decide what price is good, so if you want it at the price at the time its your call...buyer beware is the saying !!0

What a great idea SFSB. I think you can tell by the number of thanks you've got that the majority agree with you. Not all of us need to do a grand gesture to help others. Some of us just do it in our own quiet way, which can be just as effective. Each to their own.
Totally agree with you0 -

Good morning :hello:
Popped into asda last night to test lucozade... was expecting it to be £1.99 and 2 for £2.50 after seeing this empty lucozade multibuy would have been practically free...
However, the SEL was £1 (no mbuy), expected to be overcharged but went through at £1 each, interesting that the mbuy is on apg though...
TSW
2x Lucozade Energy Original (1L) £2.50 £3.00
M
2x Lucozade Energy Original (1L) £2.50 £1.98
So, lucozade net 64p/1L bottle when bought in 2s vs Morries (if £1 SEL in your store)
Not as good as I hoped but better than expected
I will be heading back later on for more as we get through loads of lucozade.#CHEEKY :cool:0 -
