I paid £6 for postage but the post office label says that the seller paid only £2.80... Am I within my rights to request a refund of the excess?
Some people write in the item description that the postage costs include packing material, transport, parking....at least them you know where you are at.Feeling very low today. Mum has has another visit to hospital on Friday due to an Angina attack. But the problem is there is something going on with her memory. Before the shunt her memory was much better. Now if she asks you a question and you answer it she asks the same question 5 minutes later. The op was supposed to improve her walking, continence and brain function.
I have phoned the hospital and left a message for someone to call me back. It may be just what would have happened but it seems odd that instead of her brain function improving its going backwards.
Makes me want to cry as I did not want her to have it and she has felt sick every since ( due to the tube I think ) and is not well. She also does want us to leave when we go in to see her
Oh dear. Could it be temporary effects of the procedure? Some people are quite out of it for days after having treatment.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. If you wanted to know a full breakdown of my £150 item, here it is.
Cost price £100
Postage £6.45 (next day, before 1pm, insured to £250)
Packaging 30p
Ebay fees £15
Paypal fees £5.31
My time £2.19
My fuel 75p
Profit £20
You can alter/re-allocate those costs as much as you like, so long as the total comes to £150.
Yes, but what's the point in that, just be upfront about the true costs rather than try to deceive. After all it will still cost the same.0 -

I suspect if you refuse to buy where you dont get a "proper" breakdown, you will end up very rich.

So sorry about this rose, it certainly is not the result that was promised, but it could just be that it is early days and things could well improve :grouphug:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Oh Rose :grouphug: I totally feel for you. I hope it's just down to medication or to her body adjusting to the after effects of the op.
I've kept quiet on your problems as had the same when mum was ill & I looked after her for years - a brother who was full of what I should do but who failed to visit for months at a time.
I totally understand how drained you must feel BUT you have to put your foot down & tell your sisters that they must take their fair share now as it seems like you've been put on too much. Please do as I say NOT as I did. You deserve to have a life too.
I hope your mum gets better BUT maybe this is the time you should say to your sisters exactly how you feel, how drained you are, how lacking in time for yourself. To look after someone you have to feel OK in yourself otherwise your health will suffer. I had a suspected heart attack while looking after mum but even that didn't make my dear brother visit more than once every couple of months. TBH he only came to ask mum for money - there was always a reason he visited & it wasn't for mum.
Take care of yourself Rose and don't let your sisters bully you into doing anything you don't feel you can. Hope you get some good news soon about your mum.:A:grouphug:0 -

Not happy with the total cost, dont buy it.
You got a bargain, be happy.
Selling on ebay is a nightmare at times.
Totally agree.Wheres_My_Cashback wrote: »Ref the Ebay situation.
As consumers we all like to see transparency when purchasing goods. .......
The Seller should be 100% upfront about how the costs are distributed and reflected in the purchase price. ......
If I were QOC I would leave either negative or neutral feedback citing the false postal cost.........
The seller was transparent, they said what price they wanted for the effort of posting, packing etc, and when you place a bid, you are saying you are happy with this cost. It cant be any more upfront than this.
If you would leave a neg for this, could you please PM me your ebay name so that I can block you from bidding on any of my items please, as this is in no way at all cause for a negative.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
