Oh Rose :grouphug: I totally feel for you. I hope it's just down to medication or to her body adjusting to the after effects of the op.
I've kept quiet on your problems as had the same when mum was ill & I looked after her for years - a brother who was full of what I should do but who failed to visit for months at a time.

I totally understand how drained you must feel BUT you have to put your foot down & tell your sisters that they must take their fair share now as it seems like you've been put on too much. Please do as I say NOT as I did. You deserve to have a life too.

I hope your mum gets better BUT maybe this is the time you should say to your sisters exactly how you feel, how drained you are, how lacking in time for yourself. To look after someone you have to feel OK in yourself otherwise your health will suffer. I had a suspected heart attack while looking after mum but even that didn't make my dear brother visit more than once every couple of months. TBH he only came to ask mum for money - there was always a reason he visited & it wasn't for mum.

Take care of yourself Rose and don't let your sisters bully you into doing anything you don't feel you can. Hope you get some good news soon about your mum.:A:grouphug:

The registrar just called to discuss her symptoms and he said that the op disturbs the physiology of the brain and it can take few weeks to settle. He said he was sure there had been no damage during the op. He just said if she has a bad headache or is drowsy she will need another scan to make sure there is no blockage.
My sisters continue to bully me. The other night I felt my blood pressure rise considerably when I was on the phone to older sister about mum's cleaner. She just kept on and on about how I had to speak to her re changing her hours. The other one is not much better. I was talking to my daughter on Saturday and told her about myplan to move away and she started crying and said it wasnt fair that I wasnt allowed to have my own life.
When Mum went in with an Angina attack on Friday my sister ha to go as I was at work and was at the hospital from 12. till 7 and boy have I heard about it all weekend!
On a lighter note had tasting for DD's wedding yesterday
and my sister did a great job and everyone was really pleased with the food.
Few wedding bits to do this week including helping DD to find some Samsonite luggage for the honeymoon. Any ideas.
As to my brothers eldest actually picked Mum up from hospital on Saturday and brought her home but then started lecturing my sister that Mum needs live in help as she is lonely. She pointed out that Mum doesnt want anyone living in and is lonely for her family and a live in stranger wont help. It goes on and on .

    Have fun TS.

Is anyone else looking forward to the new Harper Lee novel coming out tomorrow? I have mine on order and am re-reading To Kill A Mocking Bird (one of my all time favourite novels) in readiness.
I am too but hoping the rumours about the KKK bit isn't true or hoping its just publicity bluff

Have a great time TS, hope the weather holds out for you

Ho no just been told there is an out break of bird flu only a few miles from where I live

Had a good productive morning, updated my CV and sent 4 CV's off, cleaned kitchen and part made tea

Need to look for some decent duvets and pillows

I used to sell a lot on ebay, Signed, 1st edition children's books , the monthly shop fees went way to high for me, I used to always refund the difference if the postage was less, I really should find another way of selling these books, I have about 15 archive boxes full

I have to say ...I read with interest all the posting abour prom dresses etc over the weekend and felt truly thankful that I've got boys...

DS2 is a little way off them yet but ds1 has had 2....with another one planned for next year as the official end of 6th form.

For the one last year we bought a suit from A I think and probably well under £100 in total when we added the shirt, tie and shoes....thankfully this year it all still fitted and he looked just as handsome....

He did have a shower and shave before going but declined the spray tan and trip to the hairdressers and probably wouldnt have benefited from a manicure even if it had been offered...
Probably a bit of a cop out on our part by not buying another black suit for this year but the one he had just needed dry cleaning and he scrubbed up well...
...I probably did miss the flounce and flair of a female prom a little....but it probably is one of the times that highlights the difference in attitudes between the boys and the girls!

Now that they include fees in the total price, including postage charged, I dont know why, for some areas of selling, they dont just get rid of the P&P part and make it part of the price.

Maybe because some sellers offer different rates of postage depending on what the buyer wants? (I offer 1st class and 2nd class postage, buyer chooses) Also some sellers offer to combine postage for some items reducing the costs for the buyers. That would make things complicated to work out if postage was included in the overall price.

There's an option on ebay to show the P&P costs in the list, as well as to order them lowest price - highest including P&P if you like. It's not that hard to check how much of a good deal you're getting.

    It's only a game

I used Tesco cinema vouchers on Sunday and still claimed the popcorn so you don't need to part with any cash :money:
