Well as good as a light drizzle & dull sky compared to good hot blazing sunshine :o

Woken by 'Mrs Savage' across the way at 6.24am, shouting from their bedroom window to her OH walking off to work

I'm going to Ipswich this morning so will pop into MrT up there if I feel I can manage it :)

Have to go to Aldi as one of my trail cams just decided to stop working  I know they won't have any left now but hope I can gave a refund rather than send this one away for repair. I'll buy a Bushnell then from Amazon :D. Treat myself to a bit of class :rotfl:

    Morning all

Desperately need some good suggestions for a weekend away.

It's for an August weekend for 3 - ourselves and eldest child. She has found a bed and breakfast place in Llandudno for 2 nights, Sunday and Saturday - 3 beds for £180
It does have breakfast, wi fi and parking though.

I've tried looking at the usual premier inns and travelodge and for them I can get one night but not 2 .ive even looked at various YhA places
I've tried to find a nice holiday flat - only found one for £220 in aberwysth - that was one bed plus sofa bed.

I've looked at places all over the north wales and along the coast to Aberdovey etc - that's about the outer limit

Then I started looking at Lake District coast but that was no better.

I think eldest child has this idea in her head about having a seaside fantasy weekend - llandudno is great for a day and its good for a base but then it involves a lot of driving about - no idea what would amuse eldest child, very much a city girl for 2 days.
When we have a day out now it usually involves a nice garden, a ruin or a castle or a historical building or a combination of this - sometimes there is a groupon or living social deal as well for an activity or meal.

£180 is about the cheapest as well - other identical b and bs all dearer - I also looked at other b and bs - a few places have singles for £70 but then the doubles were more expensive.

LLandudno is only about 90 mins drive from here so it does not feel like you have gone anywhere - just a day trip. Along the coast at Barmouth etc it's about 2.5 hours - a bit of a drive.

    Has anyone any suggestions ?
