We are still working our way through 2 litre Diet Coke with Santa labels ... From 2013 . I did get "a few" but also we limit Little Anons to one bottle as a weekend treat, and not every weekend, so taking a while to get through.

Still seem to be fine though despite now being a little past the date.

Seriously? I find the bottles of coke taste flat if even a few months old. If you can find the best before date on them they are usually only a few months shelf life because the stuff they are made from leaks gas.

    Good evening all.

I like school uniforms, overall I think they work out good value. There is no way I could kit my 3 out if they were wearing their own clothes, I could just imagine the pressure to have the latest labels. School uniforms are levellers, children look the same and generally uniforms are all bought from the same retailers. I'm not saying that schools couldn't consider cheaper options but pound for pound through the year I think they are better value than non-uniforms would be.

I agree Ellie. I just don't agree with changing the goalposts half way through.

I found uniforms perfectly manageable through primary school but high schools ramp the expectations up a bit.

in general my finances are quite messy :o I have just had to pay for the medical bills for OH......I wouldn't change them......but they have taken a chunk of my future I don't have anymore. I'm now trying to let 2 households survive on what one has done up until now. thTs a learning curve :o

I think I will take on some self employed work to cover it. My OH and I aren't at loggerheads but he can't offer anything towards the situation. I'm on my own :o it's just me and the kids and I have found it really scary :( but I'm getting there

Hi FC how you doing? No easy task setting off to a life on your own with children and finances depleting at an alarming rate.
You will get through it, it takes time to get used to being single parent but it does get easier. Of course your kids are older which will make it easier still.
There will be weepy, screaming times but they too ease up eventually.

Find that job, and don't look back, keep facing forward to the future x

    Good luck

    Lovely to see you eeeeemappp:D

Have you had a wonderful adventure?:)

    Hello TM. I have!

Had some great BBQ in TX, battled pigeons on the roof at our studio, interviewed a Texas Ranger, saw long horn cattle and deer, got propositioned by a toothless trucker in a lift, visited a spiritual community in NY and drank and ate way more than I should have :)

It was a stressful but also amazing time. Happy to be home though.

Welcome home emmap, sounds like you've had an interesting time (she says in green eyed mode)

I love Texas, but there are some weirdos there :rotfl: :rotfl:

No doubt your suffering from jet lag, you'll soon be back to normal, whatever that is for you :p;)
