    ewww ewww alert

2 of my colleagues leave at the end of term; one for pasture new and one to retire *Valli is green with envy* and I am doing their collections (by default because SOME people are not team players and more then happy to allow someone else to do the work) anyway I bought cards. Both colleagues out Mon/Tues so cards left lying around - retiring coleague in today so card removed to safe place.

came in this morning - NO sign of leaving card. Anyway turns out another colleague thought I had left retirement card out so she hid it.

Got it out (was in 'baking club box'). Notice full stops (?) were moving about on card. Turns out we had a HUGE infestation of flour weevils in Baking Club Box - SO MUCH SO THAT THEY WERE COVERING THE BAIN MARIE AND IT WAS TOO UGH FOR WORDS. Now I am not, and never have been, involved in baking club ('rod' and 'back' spring to mind) but colleague who was was around but busy. So I kindly dealt with the little blighters and threw everything. In the skip. UGH UGH UGH. I have been thanked by colleague. (nice colleague that is!)

I do not find it necessary to post that I have written, proof-read and printed reports (unlike some) all over FB. And when pictures of gifts (and 'aren't I blessed' because I am fantastic) start appearing all over FB I might just lose it. And point out that, technically, gratuities are declarable and liable for tax.

Cycling (and Piggers, actually, because something's not right) tho' I'm not posting much I am thinking of you both. Lots. XX

    Don't need a virtual one;)

I am dreading the dream I will have tonight *shudder* though! Last night's was dreadful enough (hair (?) and lots of it and a mattress and I had to be under 'the bed' with a vacuum!)

On the plus side the dreaded phone call (the O one) hasn't come so I don't have to park in Portsmouth (having driven there all by myself) and get on a ferry to the IoW to help mind the Y6 class. This is a good thing as the bag I was supposed to keep packed, in tha car boot, for three days got unpacked at the end of standby day one because I needed my hairbrush. And comb. And hairdryer. And make up...

    Morning everyone.

Awake through the night with the pain from the shingles. Hopefully that will lessen soon.

Up to now kitchen and bathroom done. Will Hoover right through today. Have got a couple of hot spots in the living room that need tackling.

    Hugs where needed.

    Morning everyone

Didnt manage any flying yesterday but will hopefully get some time this afternoon before I have to take DS to the hairdressers, then footie practice.

Think I might be on my own at work this morning and it could be quiet which is not much fun.

Will report back in later with progress.

    Morning all
Hugs to everyone who needs one.
Well done for tackling the bug infestation valli can't believe there are only two days till term end here (think we finish a week earlier than everywhere else) hope you manage to get some time to yourself in the summer break. Trouble is in all workplaces there are those that do and those that sit back let them and then try and take the credit.
Nipped in for a couple of volunteer hours yesterday afternoon, was on white board cleaning duty so took myself and my little cloud of fumes out to sit in the playground - I'm sure you could get high on that stuff! Came home with the biggest grin after lovely chat with the head, and really looking forward to next term!!!!
Nipped Ts last night got compost so will plan on dragging Ds2 round mils to help dig it in near the fence and plant some stuff up. DH will meet us there once he's finished work he can be in charge of mowing. Got a minion tray bake while I was a there, I'll take that in on the last day for the class to share In the afternoon.
Need to do wm and ironing this morning also got a phone call to make and some stuff off the lists

Hugs sticks spoons and posi vibes to all who need them, have a good day.

    Morning all

Boddy I didn't realise you had shingles, wishing you well soon.

JTTOU hope you have a good trip

Valli, I so love your posts. Just a week and a bit, I know you don't get 6 weeks off but I hope you can at least find some space to breath.

Honeybear - where are you? Missing your posts

I'm treating myself to a morning gardening in my own garden! Cricket tonight and all weekend and tomorrow will be shopping for cricket teas and DS2 has friends over for Saturday night so not much time to myself until next Thursday and DH is working OS until next Friday.

Flying will just have to wait apart from basics.
