Morning everyone. Big decision today - do I have cake for breakfast?!!

A day to myself so I'm planning a dog walk before it gets too hot, tidying the house after yesterday's shenanigans and some gardening.

HB - glad the dog is improving.

    Have a great day everyone.

Huge congratulations MummyRoys. Really pleased for you.

    Belated birthday wishes Jazee.

I'm awake early as we have a houseful today. We are having a BBQ for DS1's 21st which is on Wednesday this week. The weather predictably has changed for the worse. It's at least 10 degrees colder than yesterday. Our home is straight and all clutter has been dealt with. I could have done with those Charity bags Bossy.

I'm out of work now, DH has some consultancy on the horizon so hopefully we are turning the corner.

I need to get food out the freezer to defrost. Good day wishes everyone.

    Mornig all

Jazee, the answer has to be Yes (in moderation, of course!)
    Ouch, YL :(
Well done on the decluttering front, Mumto5. I need to follow your example this week.

Babysitting a bright 6yo (not one of ours) was fun yesterday evening. A good time was had by all :)

It's the parish picnic today, so - predictably - it has rained all night and there are plenty more grey clouds this morning. I have got past the age of enjoying sitting on damp grass; my joints object. Hey-ho.

Just trying to finish off the last few bits for this box, ready for delivery this afternoon. Why is it that I am always rushing at the last minute when I've had 6 months to do this?

Hope everyone has a good day x

Jazee - yes from me too - definitely eat cake for breakfast.

I have spent most of the last week struggling with nausea. Strangely I have always felt OK when I woke up. It was only when DD1 returned from her week away and commented on the overwhelming smell from flowers in the living room I began to wonder.....

Anyway I evicted the smelly ones and I am now sitting in said living room feeling okay.

Mind you the nausea got so bad yesterday that I didn't have an evening meal, but I did make some home made ginger biscuits - because ginger is good for the digestive system.....

Today, as I feel vaguely human for the first time in a week, I shall be pottery in the tip that is my house. DD2 has volunteered to help with the ironing - and I do not look gift horses in the mouth...

    Morning all

Cake is a staple breakfast foodstuff in the dusty household.

House is in much need of attention, whether it gets any will be another thing but I will do the ironing.

DS2 has left for work training
    DS3 has homework to do
DS1 has his GF over, they will no doubt do nothing
    DH is working OS

Shower and breakfast for me then I'll make a start.

CY glad you are feeling a bit better
Mumto5 hope the BBQ is fun despite the weather

Wishing you all a harmonious day whatever you are upto.

Hello. Me again, sitting here with another cuppa and my second slice of cake today. I worked the first slice off by walking the dogs.

CY - glad you're feeling a little more human today.

Most items in the house are now where they should be and some new stuff just in a cupboard till I find a proper home. Next up hoovering/sweeping/mopping through.

    Catch you all soon.

    Hi all

JazeeI would have normally been up for some cake with you but for some reason my stomach doesnt feel right which is maybe something to do with the amount of takeaway pizza I stuffed myself with last night!

I have hoovered the whole house. Just removing all the dog hairs from the carpets makes a big difference. OH has taken DS to cricket. One load of washing on the line, another to go in when I have had my cuppa.

CY[/B good to hear the nausea is better today and yes get them all to pitch in and help!

I am seriously tempted to snooze now ..

    Jazee, bulk cake is prescribed.

Kelpie's lump [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] was a tricoblastoma, which means he's in the clear. Hurrah for great vets. He's still recovering but he's turned the corner now and his lovely, happy, friendly, waggy personality is beginning to re-emerge.

It's p***ing down here and I've just discovered that the lodger I thought was leaving today - isn't. Which means lodger-shuffling has to occur right now so that by 6.00 pm the new arrival doesn't think anything is amiss. Oh whoops. A bit of grovelling is involved but fortuantely the Lovely Lodger (a Sardinian) is very long-suffering and was only asking about the phrase 'Whoops-a-daisy' the other day - I've used it in context which probably means I should charge her for a language lesson. Second thoughts, best not.
    Better is good enough.
