I ordered around 6pm today, and got email that order has been confirmed, hopefully it will come. For £23 its not bad, even if it got a bad review. Dirt cheap price.

Order Status:Your order is being processed with our supplier. An estimated ship date will be available once the order has been accepted by our supplier
are these for anything or laptops only sort of thing...:D

That Ebuyer page is for a MiniMax. The one offered by Dell is not a MiniMax. The dimensions and weight are different, for a start. The MiniMaxes also include USB and Firewire hubs and come formatted to HFS+ for Macs. The model Dell are offering is part of the old Black Series. Those seem to immediately pre-date the current models that form Iomega’s Value and Professional Series, with their new silver curved-fronted cases.

They should do. My ds has a 250gb external hardrive already. I was actually wondering the opposite, and will it work okay with a laptop lol. We're not very technically minded, are we? :o

It’ll work with either, although it’s designed as a desktop device. When similar devices are designed for a laptop, they’re usually smaller and consume only as much power as can be supplied by the USB cable itself. Then, it’s easier to carry around with the laptop, and you don’t have to hunt for a power socket to use it. The drive will be a USB mass storage device. That means you’ll connect it and it’ll pop up as a device, just like a camera or a memory stick. There is a User’s Manual on the Iomega website.
