I was hoping mine would slip though but once they get posted on sites like this that's the death nail.
I think you should get off this forum - why are you spending time on "sites like this"??You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
I expect we'll all get a cancellation mail within 24hrs, if they want to gain goodwill then they should at least honour those that ordered a quanity of one on a first come basis until the stock has run out.
Last time I ordered a miss prices PC from Dell it was cancelled by them on the basis that they had a fault on the website that allowed an option that wasn't available, I expect this will be cancelled on the basis that it's a miss price although to us the price could very well have been deemed correct as it's an old model0 -
So you knew about this deal yesterday morning but didn't post it and kept it to yourself????? And you talk about other people being selfish?

I can understand his point, TBH - and while it isn't necessarily a bad thing when people post bargains like this on sites like this, it is when certain people claim to be ordering loads to sell on ebay!
If everyone stuck to ordering one or two at most, while the amount of orders placed will increase, then at least they wont get as suspicious as some people ordering 10 or more - and are thus more likely to honour the order - even if it is a misprice.
There are already some of these listed on ebay.
For the record, I saw this on another site last night, and ordered two (as I was looking for circa 400-500GB of extra storage anyway). I have had a PDF order confirmation/invoice emailed, and a delivery date of August 21st or earlier - but the invoice also included the disclaimer that they reserve the right to cancel, if it turns out that a typographical/pricing error occured.
Order status on their site says they are processing the order with the supplier.
If it comes off - bargain-licious, but if not, then I aint gonna lose any sleep!0 -
Thanks johnson293, I would post a bargain but not a misprice as people get greedy and we never get them these day's.
The only way anyone will get them is to make a small order and hope it slips through, anyone who thinks they will get a misprice after it's posted on the web is just dreaming.
Maybe some of you have not been here long but some of us have wasted time on these deals in the past.I think you should get off this forum - why are you spending time on "sites like this"??
If you do a search for my posts you will find I help in a lot of other sections here and not just the grabit board.0 -
Looks like they're gone now.....0

Its odd that this item is not on the "hot sellers" list on their website.
If dell were selling other stuff faster than this, then I would certainly like to know what those other items were.
..... unless these Iomega drives are not on the best selling list because none were actually sold to us? I wonder.0 -

Call me cynical, but "hotsellers" on a website usually means "stuff we're look to shift".
It may or may not be selling rapidly.
It may or may not be discounted. In fact, because it's in a main advertising area, it may even have a bigger price than normal.0 -
