Ooh, this thread is really starting to hot up now that people realise it ain't gonna be honoured (just like the recent Apple Store misprice and the many other misprices gone before). It's like Groundhog Day all over again (I say, it's like Groundhog Day all over again):D - has anyone mentioned "invitation to treat", yet?
I love a good misprice saga - always a good laugh to read some of the posts as people get on their high horses, plus everyone and their granny suddenly appears to become an expert in contract law.:p
I'll probably stay subscribed to this thread for the time being, until I get bored with it all, by which time there'll no doubt be another misprice for us all to jump on.;)

So i sent an email to dell customer services asking about when the hd would be delivered as i was having trouble checking the order staus online. Got a call this afternoon from someone at dell saying that the hd should be with me by the 23rd and that dell would be phoning me back on the 22nd (day before) to confirm the delivery with me. Hopefully it arrives.0

Wonder what the chances are that one arm of Dell doesn't have an idea what the other is doing? If you catch my drift0

Like I've said, I love a good ol' misprice - I can't resist, even though I know it won't be honoured.
The way I see it, if they spot the misprice quickly and a few orders slip through the net, then they might honour it as a gesture of goodwill, so you might get lucky. But once news of the misprice spreads and the orders come flooding in, then they're highly unlikely to honour it, and will inevitably call upon their misprice "get-out" clause and cancel the orders.
I'm surprised no-one's piped up and suggested that Martin gets involved to fight our cause, as is usually the case - yeah, like he hasn't got more important things to get involved with than YET ANOTHER misprice.

Why, when they sell printers for £10, do so many people insist it is a misprice? All of this speculation over price, availability, delivery status etc. is really tedious & makes a mess of the whole thread. I've seen this countless times and peoples reactions are so predictable, it really is like groundhog day.
Just chill out & wait for your deliveries. If anything changes then discuss it when it makes a difference.desrever sthgir lla0 -

To be fair, the price of hard drives is falling rapidly and it won't be that long before prices for a 250Gb external drive fall below £25, but at the moment, I see this as essentially a half-price drive (based on the minimum you can reasonably expect to pay for a 250Gb external drive at current market prices). As someone has already said, Dell have previously honoured a mispriced PC, and they could no doubt afford to honour this hard drive misprice without having too much of an impact on their profits, but my opinion is that they won't - only time will tell.

Quite agree, they will buy so many their cost will be surprisingly low. I'm currently confident on this one, have had the printers in the past for peanuts and some very cheap pcs as well. Have read nothing so far to change my mind, and as a previous poster has stated delivery is due next week. Let's wait and see.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0
