Did you not say that they did?The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
I didn't emphasise on the fraud check but did say if it was 100 percent approved etc and I shouldn't worry etc - is it usual for a fraud check to be done whilst your there opening an account in branch, is it that quick?0

Yes its usual to do it there and then, in fact they can't progress the application if a fraud referral comes on screen. It requires the fraud team to get the application to the next stage.
However I've no idea whether Barclays have any other fraud tools in the background that may refer an application on day 2 as a lot of other banks do.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Well I see that after Barclays stated that they didn't do a credit search on the account I was asking for (Cash Card account) one is showing on my credit report!!
My credit report does not show a fraud maker too which is good news.0 -

The footprint is probably the result of the call to the fraud team.
You won't see a fraud marker on your credit file. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

If there is a cifas marker and we don't know if there is as op hasn't come back then Lloyds would need to be contacted to remove it. However they might refuse if they think it's accurate. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
