    Good Morning,

    Thank you for your post.

If I could kindly ask that you pop us an email over to mse@origin-broadband.co.uk, one of the team will be happy to contact you in regards to any issues raised.

Partial charges happen when you join part way through the month, you get charged until the end in order to give you 12 months equal discount.

In regards to the connectivity issues, once you have spoke to the customer resolution team - they can raise these to the department that can help you the most and see through till your issue is fixed.

That email again is mse@origin-broadband.co.uk, if you could put the subject header as MSE that will allow the team to pick you up as a priority.

    Kind Regards

    Origin Broadband

I am in the same position. I emailed that email address, and I am pleased to say that the matter has already been dealt with. Under an hour! :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I was billed for 1 month in advance despite dates as shown below and paying 12 Months upfront, the 1 Month upfront bill was promptly removed after I queried it.

It is unacceptable to charge customers at Origin Broadband full rate prorata for a month when someone has paid 12 Months upfront at a reduced rate.

    Broadband Appointment:
An Openreach engineer will carry out your broadband installation and has been booked for 31/10/2016.
    Phoneline Appointment:
Your phoneline will also be installed by an Openreach engineer on 31/10/2016 between 08:00 and 13:00. Please make sure that someone is on site to allow the engineer access.

Great post Jabba_flabba, much appreciated. I look forward to hearing how you get on.

I signed up the MIL on a twelve month deal and paid up front for line rental including broadband. She has also been presented with a bill for line rental and BB for part of the month between connection and the end of the month!! I have emailed them billing@orgin-broadband.co.uk asking them to correct their mistake. It is reasonable to assume that the contract term - twelve months in our case - commences on the date of connection. If they wish to show LL and BB charges with the discounts applied on their bills the first monthly bill should have pro rata discounts applied for both LL and BB charges.

    Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your post, If it is possible - could you please forward the email you sent to the billing email address to mse@origin-broadband.co.uk with the header MSE.

I can have one of my team in customer relations to look at this for you, and advise you on your bill.

    Thank you,

  • Really cheap deal although I seem to have been charged for a new line I did not need and they have so far not replied to three complaint e-mails sent over a 10 day period. Beware - if all goes well then its a good deal, if there is an issue - expect to be ignored!!

    Thank you for your reply.

I note that in your reply to Jabba_flabba you did not answer the important question posed in 3/

The email has been forwarded as per your request. I would recommend that you email my MIL with your reply rather than call as she is extremely hard of hearing. She has never got used to wearing hearing aids when on the phone.

    Thanks

As you might have gathered from my post where I quote the information on your site, I've kind of worked that out. However, there seemed to be nothing about this during sign-up. Furthermore, as GTG and GDB2222 point out, Origin's advertising spiel explicitly contradicts this.
In regards to the connectivity issues, once you have spoke to the customer resolution team - they can raise these to the department that can help you the most and see through till your issue is fixed.
All the evidence suggests there was a widespread outage at Origin yesterday evening, and my connection is fine today. I will monitor the situation closely.

    Good Morning,

Thank you for your feedback on this, Could I please ask you that you send us an email to mse@origin-broadband.co.uk with your account information on, I can then have one of the customer resolution team members look into this for you.

As you did not need a 'new line' any charge on your bill for this service will be removed for you.

I would like to apologise for this.

If you could send us that email with the header 'MSE' I can have one of our team pick this up as a priority.

I've also been having reliability problems recently - it's getting very frustrating.

Also, the router I was sent (the most basic model, can't remember the number) has some sort of ASUS firmware made for Origin, as it has their name in the firmware version. The option to upgrade to a different firmware seems to have been removed.

    Good Morning,

    Thank you for your post.

I know last week we did have a major outtage which affected more than one service provider however this is now fixed. Could I please ask if you are still having technical issues you email us at mse@origin-broadband.co.uk with the header MSE TECHNICAL and I can have someone pick up your query and raise this to the team that can help you the most with these.

Anyone get the "Package - Origin Superfast Reward Deal" with the £200 voucher after three months of being signed up? I can't find anything on how to claim this, I thought I took a screenshot of the original MSE post about how to do it but doesn't look like i did! tried a few searches but can't find anything.
On the note of it being any good, the jury is still out for me. I have had a few occasions where it's buffered when streaming but haven't used it enough to give a solid outcome. I did phone customer services this week on a different matter and got through straight away and they sorted my issue so that's a good start i suppose.

    Good Morning,
In regards to our Voucher scheme that ran, You should of been contacted by a member of the resolutions team to discuss this, and to discuss which voucher you require.

Could I kindly ask if you have received this communication? As these vouchers are now on their way out to customers.

If not, please email us at mse@origin-broadband.co.uk with the header 'VOUCHER' and I can have one of the team chase this up for you as soon as possible.

    Kind Regards

    Hi

May I suggest you use extreme caution before signing with Origin broadband. If you use the search term Origin broadband complaints in google and click on the trust pilot reviews, you will get an idea of the current problems people are facing. Unfortunately I failed to read these first and I am now committed to 12 months and have had no end of problems and still waiting for an acknowledgement to my complaint from 3 weeks ago.

In terms of your question, the standard router supplied is an Asus, however the model is prone to drop outs as reviews of the model again on google will show (sorry at work and dont have the model number) and I regularly lose internet connection, so far about a dozen times in the 6 weeks of service. Wireless is fine albeit not as good as any other standard router I have had with other suppliers.

Good luck if you do choose to use this provider!

    Good Morning,

I am looking through older posts and answering any questions that look to be unresolved and also adressing any issues previews to see if these have also been resolved.

I note you state in your post that you were/are having technical issues. Could I please ask if these issues have been resolved?

    Kind Regards,
