Origin Broadband - any good

To be fair to Origin, they are not responsible if Quidco have possibly stated 'all other sales' when what Origin meant was 'all other monthly sales'.
Getting a year's BB + phone for a net £90 is clearly too good to be true.
Promotional offers/Incentives have to be honoured even if results in company making a loss, not only did TCB previously list 35.00 cashback for sales without any apparent exclusions, clearly states on network

Those are the current terms. Is it possible to tell from that site whether they were different previously?
Does MSE get £35 + VAT for everybody who signs up?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

?
Terms were same last October when I signed up to Origin, mine was rejected then got paid via TCB after I complained to Ombudsman and posted my experience on Topcashback - Question and Answers thread0 -
I switched to Origin Broadband back in February and the service has been absolutely terrible. The Broadband cuts out frequently and I've been reporting it to technical support with no satisfactory result. At first they were responsive at least and I carried out all the tests until eventually they said they would send out an Openreach engineer to my home but this never happened. Now they won't respond to any of my messages or even their own customer complaints service and I'm locked into this service until next year and don't know what else I can do. Has anyone else had this problem with them?0

Went via MONEYSAVINGEXPERT link to this company signed up and paid £154.99 for one years subscription to broadband in advance on 2August17 this month. Rang three days later to see how my order was progressing ,..sat on the phone for 58 minutes no reply ,so I went onto internet and found trustpoilot reviews ,to my horror after 8 pages of reviews I'd had enough so I rang up spent another 45 minutes waiting for the phone to be answered and told them I would not be going with there company and to cancel my order. (Under the 14 day rule )And please verify my cancellation to me by email and refund my £154.99 .The man in cancellation verified he would email me. straight away I'm still waiting for his email . I have sent them another email asking for a full refund.I am waiting for there reply .watch this space. 09/08/2017Still no emails so I went too my bank and made a (CHARGEBACK CLAIM) see MONEYSAVINGEXPERT under chargeback for (debate card payments ) Hopefully thay will be able to get my money back. If not it will be the country Court....On a better note I've got a great deal with sky broadband and phone line for £ 9.50 per month for one year via MONEYSAVINGEXPERT Webb site available till 18/08/2017 .£ 20 upfront cost.....

Back when it was originally declined, I emailed the address given by the rep on here. Guess what? I received no reply.
Can you email forum@origin-broadband.co.uk and we'll take a look at this for you.

Broadband has been off in Bristol since 0940. 6 outages since 26th July. Openreach signal/phone line is working fine. It's their actual "supply" that keeps breaking down.

You failed to access to the web page that you want to view.
Reason for failed connection :
There is no response from the remote server.
I feel a chat with the credit card company coming up.
STOP PRESS- after 35 minutes they just got answered. Nice "eee-by-gum" lady. Acknowledged at their end lies the problem- bad weather or kids breaking in somewhere and disturbing their servers !!! They don't know it's gone down until there's a huge surge of calls but they're looking into the problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH !!!!
Are you back up and running now? Please let me know and I'll be able to check this if not.

Good afternoon.
I decided to give the Origin Broadband £155 line rental & broadband for a year deal a try , so subscribed through the MSE link on 30th July 2017. Payment taken immediately & received confirmation of the order & that I would receive a " going live" date within 4 days. I hadn't heard anything by 9th July so gave them a call. Waited on hold for around 10 minutes. I was told there was a possible issue with the line & that a new line may have to be installed ( at no cost as a special offer) I was also told that I would hear back within about 48 hrs whether this was the case. Again I heard nothing back so gave them another call today. This time around a 30 minute wait on hold, then told " the lines ok mate Il reorder" turns out this will now take another 14 days. No apology for the delay or for not being kept informed. I said I may wish to cancel & told " up to you mate , will take 14 days for any other broadband to be connected"
I was certainly taken aback by the apparent " couldn't care less" attitude & no attempt whatsoever for any kind of apology for what will now be nearly a month before the service goes live. I did say I will continue with the order to give Origin the chance to finally sort it so will await developments.0
