;69086891]Yes but just dropping one nail onto the road flat has got a high chance of not working surely?

I was thinking more of the banging the nail in/leaving it leaned up against tyre sort of thing.
Cars get nails stuck in the tyres all the time, those are all flat on the road.

Even someone bent down by your car, what if they were just doing their shoe lace after you drove over a nail earlier?
  • Hardly ever got punctures , until recently when over a year I got two. Same wheel, same type of nail (flat head roofing nail) have started looking under my wheel now before driving in case a third turns up.

  • ANOTHER ruined tyre. No nail in there but a hole in the side wall.

Its starting to look a bit fishy I must admit.

Recently neighbours vehicle got clamped for no road tax. It wasnt me that reported it - someone else. Im beginning to wonder if I'm getting the blame for this.

Time to get a camera on the house I think.

    Absolutely.

Make sure you pay for a decent camera that works well at night, or else you will not be able to tell who it was.

Well this time it looks like a hole in the side wall. So probably not malicious I dont think. No sign of a nail this time.

Wife had driven about 7-8 miles so I guess would have noticed if it'd been flat at beginning. More than likely she went over something I think.

Last few years I've had nails in my tyres. It finally dawned on me the reason when we had double glazing windows and doors installed. It seems the workers leave behind all th old nail that come off the old doors and windows.

I spent quite a bit of time picking up all the nails on our road/pavement. A few times when walking around I've had a look on the pavements and it seems to be littered with them - it's always next to the newish looking double glazed.

I have been driving about 50 years and have not had a puncture in all that time.

New car last month and a screw this week in the side wall, near the rim, how can that happen please.

Cant repair near the rim so nearly £70 for a new tyre.....
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Absolute certainty that someone is doing it , not necessarily at your home address either.
