Hi all, just wondering if anyone on here has ever sold on spare free children's temporary annual passes? I've been told that there might be a problem if they're not used with the adult tickets. Is that right?

    Thanks.

I've never tried it - but from reading other forums, the problem with these free child's passes is that its forbidden (ie totally against the terms and conditions of the offer) to sell on these passes. So I don't know if you sold it on, whether the temporary pass you sell would be accepted on its own for a child, without a corresponding paid annual pass temporary ticket being presented at the same time, at DLP to be made into permanent annual passes.

    Right..were getting there..

    Ferry - £90 or £110 Tunnel.
    Fuel (400mile each way) - £80-120
    Tickets (2x Adult, 2x Children, 1x Infant - Fantasy) - £264

We did look at the train all the way, buts its £400+, so its the car..

Now to sort the accommodation, we did think about camping for €40 a night, there was a campsite 5miles down the road. There is one day that we cannot enter the park, which we could have a day-trip into Paris on that day.

    Camping.. <<Linky>>

Any tips on the accommodation? Will be for 2 Adults & 3 Children.

Hi we are thinking of going to Disneyland for 4 nights. We are really flexible on dates and would like to go any time after mid October.
There will be 3 adults and 1 child aged 4.
So far I have looked at 25th November staying in Santa fe. Hotel and park tickets are coming up at £561 and I understand food is quite expensive so was looking at the half board option for an extra £292 on average how much more do you think we will need to budget for food? Are drinks and snacks only available at the park or can you take them with you?
We don't drive and are in Sheffield so Im wondering if anyone could give good advice on the travel part?
Also is the above prices reasonable or can we get cheaper or better deals booking elsewhere.
Sorry for all the questions but this will be the first time booking abroad online and Disney seems really complicated

can you go before 19th October, or at least in the week beginning 21st October and be home before 28th? Its just that the park has one of its busiest weeks of the whole year in the last week of October as almost all European schools are off on holiday then. Oh and avoid Saturdays and Sundays, they are even busier!

Also this year all French school are on holiday from 19th October until 3rd November, so that again makes the parks busier. The price you have could be cheaper for the Santa Fe if you check in before 19th October, and I wouldn't bother with any half board meal plan at DLP - they are restrictive and they don't save you money. Put the meals money on a pre-paid travelcard instead if you want to budget in advance, and pay for all your meals at DLP with that instead.

How are you thinking of travelling? You could take the bus or train from Sheffield down to London then the Eurostar (try megabus or national express for the buses, and have you got a family railcard for the train, as that could work out fairly cheap for the journey from Sheffield to London and back). Eurostar prices are already out for November direct fares, so you could look now and see what kind of price you are looking at. If you wait until 12 weeks before travel if the direct fare is too expensive, you could possibly get the indirect fare for £69 return per adult, £49 return for your child. Also, at 12 weeks before travel, you could phone Eurostar and ask them for a through fare from Sheffield to DLP.

Or if you can get a lift/airport taxi etc you could fly from airport within about an hours travel from you? You would have transfers from Charles de Gaulle airport to your DLP hotel to factor in, that would be around 120 euros return total.

Yes we can go anytime after 1st October really.
Stays before November seem to have a "free" meal plan anyway? If we got them free how would be best to use them? any suggestions? Im quite happy to do a pre-paid travel card as that would give us more flexibility.

Air fares with Jet2 seem reasonable from Leeds Bradford

Would you book direct through Disney or is their any other non-Disney hotels and then buy park tickets separate? If so how do you buy the tickets separate?

    Thank you

you'd have to pay around £380 just for park tickets for your group for 5 days, so if you are getting the hotels and park ticket for 4 nights/5 days (plus half board meal plan?) for £561 then theres no point doing it separately.

If you are getting the meal plan free, then use it for your main meal of the day and if you have fussy eater, maybe choose a buffet restaurant so you can pick and choose as you like. You collect the vouchers when you check in at your hotel, and you can either use them at the restaurants listed on the vouchers, or you can use them at cash value in other restuarants (but not all of them) at DLP. DLRPMagic has reviews and menus of the DLP restaurants, to give you some ideas.

You can't use half board meal plan vouchers at counter service restaurants.

eta - I'm not seeing the Santa Fe for your dates for £561 total for 3 adults and one child, its more than double that isn't it?

    'Evening all,

Have just booked to take the family too DLP next February half term.
4 nights hotel in Hotel Cheyenne, breakfast each day and 5 days entry to the 2 parks all for £512 [pretty decent price i thought as when i'd looked before it was always 4 figures for 4 of us]

We've never been there before so would appreciate any feedback on a couple of things -
Food prices - I'm thinking around 100 euro per day [something small/fast food at lunch time with something a bit bigger in the evening]. Is this a reasonable supposition?

Ferry - We're driving from West Wales and are going to stay in Dover on the night before we catch the ferry to Calais so we can leave early in the morning. Prices now are £39 each way for the car. Is it worth booking this now or is there likely to be any offers nearer the time?

On the way back we're going to stop off in Calais to stock up on beer/wine etc. Can anyone recommend one thats easy to get to/from?

    Cheers for any advice :)

I can't help with the driving and Calais hypermarkets etc, but for 4 of you I'd say 150 euros per day, just to be safe. This should cover your food, snacks, some souvenirs etc.
