    Hi,
I wonder if you can help we are staying in Disney's New York Hotel 19-23rd Aug, 2 adults, 2 kids (13 & 9) and wondered if anybody could recommend places to eat, whether to prebook, generally any food suggestions which I would really appreciate. I was thinking along the lines of snacks during the day and then proper meal on evening whilst being as MSE as possible.
    Many thanks :D

you have lots of options, some of them can be MSE ;).
If you are driving/taking Eurostar, take soft drinks and snacks with you as they are all expensive at DLP. If you can't take a lot of luggage with you, the Casino shop inside the train station at DLP is okay for prices for snacks, much cheaper than elsewhere in the resort.

My DD is nearly 12 and seemed to be constantly wanting to eat at DLP last month (think she was hitting a growth spurt) so the buffets suited us best.

You get a good hot and cold breakfast buffet at your hotel, so make the most of it :). If you're getting up early to go into the park for Extra Magic Hours then come back to your hotel afterwards to have breakfast. Fill up and make it brunch, take a couple of snacks with you into the parks to keep you going until dinner, then book a buffet dinner (either in the parks, the Village, or at your hotel - the HNY has a good buffet at the Parkside Diner).

If you end up buying counter service lunches, buy kids meals for you all - they are generally just very slightly smaller portions than the adult versions at DLP and they are half the price.

In the Village there is a McDonalds which is similar priced to here in the UK, and an Earl of Sandwich which is excellent value for their sandwiches (but take your own drinks or buy them at the train station, to keep the price down).

For August meals, pre-book what you can. You can't prebook any counter service, but you can pre-book most table and buffet service restaurants in the resort. Have a look at DLRPMagic for their restaurant menus, give you an idea of the meals and their prices.

Hi balletshoes - I'm a DLP virgin and I have been looking at this chat threat for about 2 weeks now and still feel totally overwhealmed with all the infprmation......

I am looking to book for x2 adults and x2 kids for 10th June to 12th June travelling on Eurotunnel.

Looking at the cheapest way of booking.

Found a site disneylandparisdirect.com and all in it seems to give me a price of £647 does this seem ok?

Actually just been on disneyholidays.co.uk and to get SantaFe £576 all in?

how old are your children? if they are under 12, I can see the Santa Fe for your dates for £445 (512 euros) on the offiical DLP site (French version, perfectly fine to book using another country's website for DLP).

Do you have Avios or Tesco clubcard vouchers? You can use these to pay for your Eurotunnel fare.

I put the link in my other post above - is it not working?
yes, you register all your details as usual, but leave the country at France (don't change it to UK). You get all your booking confirmation by email, nothing comes in the mail. Phone your bank first before trying to pay by card - they may want to block it as its a foreign transaction.

  • Had a quick look on the frnech site for a November booking. Came in at 1298 euros, the same holiday on the UK site is £764. Is there quite often a variation in prices between the two sites, I remember reading that the french site was generally cheaper but that doesn't appear to be the case this time.

    Hi

I've just booked 2 adults and 1 child (age 5) to travel to DLP from 22nd to 27th August. We were thinking of purchasing the 4 day tickets as it appears to be the same cost as 3 days tickets. However, the prices go up on 28th March! Anyone know if this will be my cheapest option??

Also, could anyone suggest any hotels? I think DLP ones maybe too expensive for us. I was looking at Kyriad DLP and a couple near there which offer breakfast and free shuttle around the £550 mark for that period. Alternative I saw a couple close to Torcy where I'd have to go on the Metro.

What would be the most convenient and cost effective option? Torcy ones are cheaper as guess further away. Where would be best to have dinner? At the park or back near the hotel as I'm guessing we maybe at the park til quite late...

    Would love any tips generally!

    Thanks in advance

    from an excited

I dont think the french site is generally cheaper ~ it just depends on which country has which offers for your dates

For that particular offer combination, 2 nights free plus kids under 12 free, its usually january to march. but you never know, dlp might bring it out for other winter dates.

I can but hope! Or at least hope for cheap Hotel Cheyenne rates via Expedia for my chosen dates! lol Thanks again my lovely.
