Thank you Balletshoes. You really are a credit to the forum with all of the advice you offer.

Just a very quick question. You mention booking rooms for 1 adult and then adding all of the others when we arrive. What's the crack with this? Will the hotel not refuse us as there are more people than the booking or does it not work like this?

no, the way it works is, once you have booked one adult in on the package in an onsite hotel, the room is booked. So you can then add others to the booking who don't need park tickets (as they will have annual passes) up to the maximum 4 guests per room, at no extra charge (apart from minimal local tax). You do this when you arrive at your hotel.

Hi, need some help please. My husband died nearly six months ago and I am considering taking my 11 yo son and nearly 9 yo daughter to DLP for their first visit. I had in m head that staying on site was the best thing to do but after reading a lot of pages on this and other threads feel that this might not be the case. I am ok about the Eurostar as the travel option and am planning on requesting permission to take them w/c 3rd June for 3-4 nights, can someone please advise best next steps? Many thanks

    Hi,

Sorry to read about your husband.

What kind of hotel are you looking for? Would you prefer a swimming pool or is an onsite/nearby hotel without a pool okay?
  • Thanks Balletshoes. Should I be looking at the French site for the best prices for on site hotels?

you can certainly check them out, it depends which country has which offer for your dates, which will be better value for you.

I am not too fussed at all about a pool tbh. I am hoping to wear them and me out by dong the park all day so they wouldn't have the energy for to much more!

don't worry about it at all :). I just ran a quote for you on the official DLP website - 3 nights at the Cheyenne, park tickets included for 4 days for all of you, breakfast every morning included, from the 3rd of June, is £469 total. You're not going to get any cheaper than that going offsite for 3 nights at that time of year, as both your kids are free in the onsite hotel deal :).

Great, what's the best plan with regards to the travel? Do I just book that separately with Eurostar?

you book your Eurostar direct with Eurostar themselves.

If your friend doesn't want to share your room, and she wants to stay at the same hotel, unfortunately she'll pay the same price on her own that you will pay - £469.
