Is there a particular reason you want a coach trip? there are loads of other ways to get to dlp from the uk.

mainly for the cost and also for the ease of having everything booked together.
If we fly we have transfers either end .
if we go by eurostar there is travel to london from Braford and maybe have to stay over too. I know it takes a lot longer but seems the cheapest and easiest to organize

yes I see what you mean - but it seems quite an expensive way of doing it for not very long at disneyland, to me. There are 2 parks and the Village, not to mention the Disneyland Hotel, to visit while you are there. So really you need 3 days at DLP itself, so that would be what, a 5-day trip in total by coach?

We come from the Midlands, with 2 of us travelling I've always been able to do all the travel (flying) including all transfers, overnight hotels en route, petrol, car parking, for around £230 total. My budget for 3 to 5 nights in a nice hotel at DLP, plus 4 or 5 days park access tickets (depending on time of year), is a maximum of £300 total.

I'm currently at the start of planning a driving and Eurotunnel or Eurostar trip to DLP, for 4 of us. We'll be going from Folkestone or Ashford though, not London, as the hotels there for overnight stays are cheaper. Driving and using Tesco clubcard points to pay for the Eurotunnel I'm fairly sure will be less than £230 total for travel, door-to-door, including all fuel, overnight hotels there and back, etc. Eurostar would be a bit more, so I'm not sure yet if I'll do that, although it would certainly be more convenient.

Do you have a time of year you'd prefer to go, or are you flexible? You can get some real bargains staying at DLP in January-March each year, as under-12s are free, and you can get 2 nights free on a 4-night stay too (the Sun does very cheap day park tickets plus ferry for this time of year as well).

Hey balletshoes - I have been to disney twice already but we want to go next year and I know your brains are the right ones to pick:)
Next year we will be tied to school hols boo, we are looking for 5 nights mon26th may 2014. I know the dates for these aren't out at the moment. Will we be able to get a decent deal.? We need to fly from newcastle but I am finding most dates this year to compare are really expensive, or is there a best time to book for next year? Sorry for all the questions just people on here seem to be getting some fab deals. x

UK school holidays tend to be a little more expensive than term time, but you could still get a maybe 40% off, or 2 nights free, deal, possibly. Its too early to tell yet.

However, as you are tied to school holidays, I'd be looking at booking your flights as soon as you can, because they are likely to be expensive. Can you travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow and fly from there (its not Scottish school hols at that time of year so you could get a bargain flying from there instead of Newcastle).

Also, have you considered offsite with annual passes as you want to go for 5 nights? It could be considerably cheaper, depending on how many are in your party, their ages etc.

Hi Balletshoes thanks again some good suggestions. I can certainly look at Edinburgh, and see whats available. Its def seems to be the cost of flights pushing the price up. Do the annual passes cover school holidays? We will have a total of 6 adults 1 baby 3 children and 1 over 12. :)

yes, annual passes cover school holidays. Do you have any children in your party who will be aged 3 to 6 when you next go to DLP?

we will be going 3-6 may the quotes i have staying in a partner hotel magic circus for 1 adult and 1 13 yr old incl flight and transfers, car parking here and 2 day hopper pass is just over £1000. Where as the cheapest coach trip same hotel is £650. Price is the main factor here for me this time. i have been before 5 times actually over the last 10 years but not since 2009. Do u book direct thro disney and then flights separately?
