Finally like many likkle girls my DD is princess mad. Would love to have lunch at auberges for her b'day, but the menu is fine dining and being muslim we are on a halal specific dining.the price for auberges is quite alot would it be worth it even if we werent going to eat much as theres not much of a variety in the vegetarien options. Can you suggest alternative charecter meals. all help is much appreciated.

I wanted to ask about this too as I looked at the menu and wasn't too impressed (I'm veggie). A friend mentioned that if you go at lunchtime it's a buffet but I can't see any mention of that on DLRP magic.

no, thats incorrect information - the menu at the Princess meal at Auberge de Cendrillon is the same at any time of the day (often its only open for lunch anyway).

    hi ballet shoes
maybe you can help me out with my disney planning.

we are planning to in the first couple of weeks of june to celebrate my daughter 4th bithday. seeing as shes in nursery and my othe LO is only 2 months old we can be quite flexible. Ive got a good deal on flights which are 298 for all four us from birmingham. their might be cheaper ones out there but this is most suitable as a) i live in b;ham and b) going with airfrance our luggage allowance is alot bigger which we need with LO esp the baby.

For accomadation we are planning to stay at hipark in val d'europe and going to buy annual passes.

my main question is what would you suggest as the most cost effective, reliable and hassle-free method of transport from airport to hotel and vice versa.

shared/private shuttle, no question. Have a look at rstransports or ezyshuttle.com. Other companies which get regular repeat guests for the DLP hotels from CDG are tioshuttle and interprestige.

and secondly are there many rides in the park that a 4 year old would enjoy and also are there any rides that are suitable for a baby.

lots and lots for a 4-year old - in both parks. Not so much for babies, but the cast members at the ride entrances will keep you right :).

you can email DLP before you go and ask them if they have a halal option for lunch at the Auberge de Cendrillon. Thats the only Princess meal option at DLP. For other character meals, I'd say dinner at Inventions would be your best bet, as its a full buffet so you can choose what you like.

I'd also say, regardless of where you are staying at DLP, going for breakfast once at the Disneyland Hotel is a real luxury treat, a full and varied hot and cold breakfast buffet, inside the Pink Palace itself :) and very reasonable for price too (14 euros per adult, 6 euros per child, under-3 are free, and you get 10% Annual Pass discount too).

    Please help!
I'm trying to buy my annual passes, from reading this forum promo parcs is about the best place to get one, am I right in thinking you get a free child pass with every adult? I am looking at francilien pass (going 18th-21st April) it's saying the pass is 107 euros, but I can't see anything that to suggest I get a free child pass?

I think you'd have to email promoparcs first to ask about a free childs pass when buying a Francillien, as I've only seen the free childs passes mentioned when people have been buying the Fantasy or Dream annual passes.

You are aware you can't use the Francillien annual pass on the 2nd and 3rd day after you get it made permanent at DLP, yes? more information about that here -

    http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/

eta - your child is under 3 years old, so they don't need a park ticket/annual pass, they are free.

No I wasn't aware that I couldn't use it on 2nd and 3 rd day, that's not going to be any good then :-( can you use any of the other passes straight away? I'm not even sure my daughter needs a pass as she's under 2, might just need 2 adults?

we've cross-posted :) - no, your daughter won't need any kind of park ticket for DLP until she is 3 years old, she is free until then.

You can use the Fantasy or Dream annual pass straightaway once you've made them permanent, and if you check the link I gave in my earlier post, you'll see the Fantasy pass will work fine for your trip dates - no blockout dates during your trip.

Thanks ballet shoes, you've been very helpful again. I've found the fantasy passes on promo parcs for 143 euros each plus 14 euro membership, does that sound about right?

yes, the prices have gone up recently, plus you will have postage costs too I think. You're still saving a little money buying them in advance over waiting and paying for them when you arrive at DLP.
  • I am planning a surprise trip for me and my best friend this summer to Paris. I plan to get the euro-star from London to Paris for 4 or 5 days mid week. I assume this would be cheaper? We hope to go for the day to DLP. We are 21 and students. What is the cheapest way to get tickets? Will 1 day be ok? We probably will only want to go on the biggest/most popular stuff, not everything, but most likely the things with the longest queues. How late is the park open? What is the best way to get to the park from Paris and does anyone have any hotel recommendations for sightseeing in Paris on a budget.

    Thanks,

    Esther
