Just got back from disney yesterday. First of all wang to thank everyone especially ballet shoes for all the help. Now my review.we were four me hubby and boys 4 and 5 . Booked tickets thru the sun deal all three days so that was a good bargain for 100 pounds for all of us . Travelled by Eurostar costed 300 pounds . I found Eurostar to be very time consuming And hectic and next time we are booking flights as its very easy to get to disney from airport.we booked hotel Santa Fe 280 pounds for three nights whicb was very very nice and only 4 minutes bus to disney.the buffalo bill shows was worth it and we loved it.cafe mickey was also good if your kids enjoy seeing characters .the key to enjoy disney is to get up really early have breakfast and be at park at eight.have the rides and queue early for ur favourite one.we managed to do all important rides twice.the boys loves the playhouse disney show and stunt show .we took about 25 pounds worth of snacks and drinks before leaving that really saved money as boys would eat when they wanted from the pushchair.dusney express service was great and saved us time.any questions please ask .
    Hi
Thanks for your report which I found interesting as we are going to DLP on 17 March and are staying at Santa Fe. We are also travelling by Eurostar and am a bit concerned that you found it time consuming and hectic? Are there any tips you can give us that would make our trip more enjoyable? Did you do Cafe Mickey for breakfast or later in the day? (We are booked in for lunch)

Hi, hope someone can help as this question seems to be along slightly different lines than most. My son is going on a School Trip to DLP, and we are currently sorting out spending money. The food in the Park seems very expensive, especially added to drinks  They have 2 days in the park, and in their wiseness the school have arranged the evening meal with options only of pizza / pasta / cheeseburger - which would also appear to be the cheapest options at the Park. I have had a quick look to see if I could find any kind of vouchers or coupons for them to use at on site cafes/ restaurants, but come up empty so far.
If anyone has any tips for them and suggestions about reasonable costs they will incur during the days at the park it will really help to provide sensible funding for them.
    Thanks for reading!

if they're having 2 days in the parks and only eating in the parks, it will be expensive, no doubt about that. An adult counter service meal deal (main, side and drink) starts at 11 euros and goes up. Snacks and drinks are also expensive, you're talking 3 euros for a soft drink (bottle or cup) and the same for cookies/crisps etc. If he's allowed, the train station right at the entrance to the parks has a convenience store inside, where he can get snacks much much cheaper (typically half price or better compared with the park prices).

As far as I know, there are no vouchers/coupons which work for DLP restaurants/counter service/snack stalls.

Are they travelling by coach? Maybe you could suggest they stock up with bottles of soft drinks/boxes of crisps/cookies etc to sell to the kids instead of them having to pay park prices for everything? You could get them to take fruit as well - if you're lucky enough to find any of that at DLP, its 1 euro per piece!

The Santa Fe Is very good and we requested car rooms which were new refurbished and spotless.the breakfast was ok but better havd ur breakfast at 7 to 730 as we went at 9 on our last day and there was good 40 minutes queue so we didn't bother with it.the lady provided kettle free of charge ( we took our tea bags and cups).we though Eurostar would save us time but we took hour train from Leicester then waited at Eurostar station. Then change at Lille and then to disney .so it was quiet long tok us good 6 hours from home to hotel.the train from Lille to disney also stops at airport to pick ppl tk take dusney so we though next time we will fly with cheap tickets and get train to disney.cafe mickey has very average good like all other disney places but if ur kids like seeing characters go fir it otherwise don't bother. The buffalo bill is worth every penny and we paid 94 euros for food in mickey cafe whicb was very average and 125 euros for buffalo bill show which was worth it even with the average food as the show itself was superb.like again j can't stress enough to get early and be there at 8 to enjoy the rides and make the most instead of spending time in queues . Any questions please ask .akso please take ur own snack from here as the park only has popcorn lays chips and drinks and jellies mostly and they are very very expensive . You can also get cheap snack from the train station shop named casino as they have stuff at reasonable prices.

We had cafe mickey for dinner.another place in studios where had our light lunch both days was blockbuster cafe which I found reasonable as they has pasta for kids for five euros each and for adult at seven euros and pizza slice was about 6 euros so it was inexpensive light lunch for daytime .and yes you can pack in croissants and make sandwiches at break fast to take with you as almost every other person was doing it .

Thanks for your reply we are travelling on the train that goes direct to Disney so won't have to change stations hopefully this will make it a bit less stressful!
Can I ask please did you request the Cars room before you went or did you ask for it when you checked in on arrival?
The Buffalo Bill show does sound great but I think the grandchildren are too young for it this year just hope Cafe Mickey lives up to expectations!

your hotel room is already allocated to you when you check in - so if you want a new Cars room you're best to contact the hotel about a week before you go and ask for one.

Another vote for Blockbuster Cafe here.

We had the €12 menu which were a choice of good size baguettes, croque monsieur, pizza, brushcetta or pasta (probably the worst choice) , bag of crisps, bottle of drink and dessert, the giant muffins were delicious. Definitely a very filling lunch.

It's self service so you can choose what you want before you pay, unlike some of the SS restaurants where you choose from pictures.

We asked for cars room in advance they are at one end where the refurbishment is complete.akso Santa Fe hotel has characters appearance everyday ask the reception they will tell you the times. Also it's much easier to meet characters in studios comoared to the park as there is less queue.
