  • Just a little (not money saving though sorry) tip for anyone going to DLP. I went with my elderly parents and daughter a few years ago. It was probably my parents last trip abroad (age and ill health) and there first trip to Disney.

To make it special we booked dinner on site at auberge de cenrillon. Now I have no doubt it is over priced but...the memory of the experience stay with us all for ever. You eat reasonably good food in what seems like an intimate setting. The Princes and Princesses all come to your table and talk, along with the mice from Cinderella. They then dance by the fire. So magical. I cried, my mum cried and even Dad looked a little weepy.

They say Disney is for children but I have never seen anyone look as emotionl as my 78 year old Mum. She even went on rides that normally she would not consider! The highlight however, was that meal.

fastpass is free - you use your own park ticket in the fastpass machines next to the rides which have it, you get a fastpass timed ticket out of the machine, and you go to the fastpass entrance of the ride during the time on your ticket.

in EMH the rides which are open are Dumbo the Flying Elephant, teacups, carousel, Peter Pans flight, Buzz Lightyear lazer blast, Space Mountain, and Orbitron. The only 3 rides of these which have fastpass are Peter Pan, Buzz and Space Mountain, so try and go on all the others in EMH (especially Dumbo, and as early as you can in EMH, because that is a very popular ride). You can't use fastpass on any ride until after 10am.

Yes, you will be able to eat after 7pm at Cafe Mickey - reserve your table beforehand though, its a popular restaurant and even with a prior reservation you may wait a little while to be seated. The number to call is 0033 160 304050 (call a discount dial number first, to get the call from your landline for less than 1p per minute).

I have not booked the Cheyenne as yet, the reviews are putting me off... Did you stay here? And what did you think? I guess it is 2* afterall and just wanting to be in the park as early as possible I guess. It's coming in at £132 for 2 nights.

Where can we go on the Sunday in the park as we will only have passes for the Monday?

    Thank you. :-)

Standingtall - that is great tip. I was looking at the buffalo bill show, but think will go for booking the auberge de cendrillon instead, a bit more for a 7yr old girl there I think.

yes -the Cars ride is based on Radiator Springs, queue area is very cool :). Also the Moteurs Action stunt show has Lightnin McQueen in it now. Both these attractions are in the Studios park.

I've only stayed in the Cheyenne once, but it was absolutely fine. Which bits of the reviews in particular are putting you off?

What time do you think you will arrive at the DLP area on the Sunday?

    Hello,
I think it was the cleanliness and noise, but you never know until tried and it's only for 2 nights.

We will be arriving about lunch time. I really want to do a character dinner and was thinking the Auberge on the Monday. But was thinking of dinner at the chuck waggon on the Sunday... Just wondering any tips on how to fill the time.
