  • they do on cemultiavantages and prompoparcs - you order and pay online with either of these companies, they send out your temporary annual passes, and you take your passports (including your child's one) to the AP office at DLP, where they will make up your permanent annual passes (everyone getting a new annual pass has to be present at the AP office, including your child).

Brilliant, thanks. I'm looking at the francillien. On Cemultivantages, when I register, do I select professional or particuler? My French is a bit rusty lol!

Have you tried going through Disneyland site but changing the option of country to France. It's in euros but works out a lot cheaper..ours was £160 cheaper.
Hi,i just need to book the hotel and on the disneyland site,it is only showing hotels with tickets, plus it seems a lot dearer on the french site, for example on the english one it was £1080 and on the french it was 1558 euro obviously that was with the park tickets. unless you know a cheaper way of doing, but thanks anyway.
  • thinking about going at end of August for 4 nights, once schools are back in, with family, wife and 2 kids (5 & 9), and the oldest is autistic and has European disabled blue badge.
Its easier and less stressful for us to fly from Glasgow or Edinburgh and intend to stay at an onsite Disney Hotel pref with a pool (Sequoai Lodge best?).

Would like to know if its best to........
book thru DLP website? (or French version)
    book flights separately thru Easyjet?
is end Aug a good time to go? (French hols, shows, weather etc)
go half board or eat at DLP?
how to book transfers from CDG airport?
does our son's disabilty and blue badge entitle him to any benefits at DLP and do we notify them at time of booking?

Cost for 4 nights B+B stay and tickets i assume, on the DLP uk website is £1077........, is this reasonable or can be done cheaper and what other costs may be involved? (apart from flights obviously).

Any sort of advice and information would be very helpful as hope to book for deals b4 Jan 31st......or is it better to wait for any better offers??

    regards

  • Hi balletshoes,

Thanks for your help, you are really informative.

I am planning on taking my kids to DLP this year, am flexible with dates but am looking for a good bargain price (no idea what to compare it with).

My kids are 6 and 4 (son turns 7 on April 30) and looking to stay there for 4 nights. So 2 adults and 2 kids.

What do you suggest is the best time to visit?

    Many thanks.

if you want to use the annual pass as soon as you've activated it, the Francillien won't work - that one has 2 non-contractual days, on days 2 and 3 once you've activated it. So for example, you get your Francilllien annual pass made permanent at DLP on 14th February. You can use it to enter both parks on that day, but then on 15th and 16th February (2nd and 3rd day after activation) you can't use it for park entry at all.

My French is probably way more rusty than yours - I'd go for particuler though, as you're not buying as a business.

the cheapest time of the year to go is now ie January to end of March each year, and preferably avoiding French school holidays. Kids under 12 go free at this time of year, at other times its typically kids under 7 go free (so if you go after April 30th you'll have to pay for your son).

However, having had a quick look on the UK DLP site, the 2nights free deal is getting pretty scarce, I guess a lot of those rooms are now booked, so it might be too late for onsite at a good price for this next couple of months (for this year). Its very good value January - March each year if you book early enough, so might be worth looking at for next year?

Otherwise, the cheapest deals for onsite tend to be in October/November/December midweek. Its a fabulous time to go too, as you get either Halloween season decorations, or Christmas season decorations in the parks.

    - the French version, because under-12s are free on that one, is around £930 for the same deal thats £1077 on the UK website.

    book flights separately thru Easyjet?
    yes, definitely do this

is end Aug a good time to go? (French hols, shows, weather etc)
The English and French schools are still on holiday until the first week of September, so it won't be quiet, it will be busy in the parks. Its also high season, so you're paying peak season prices for your hotel package.

go half board or eat at DLP?
don't do half board, it doesn't save you any money and restricts where/what you can eat at DLP.

how to book transfers from CDG airport?
there are lots of shuttle companies, and Easyjet themselves, once you've booked the flights, can transfer you from CDG to your hotel by shuttle/taxi.

does our son's disabilty and blue badge entitle him to any benefits at DLP and do we notify them at time of booking?

if you need any special disabled room facilities, then yes, notify them when you book, you can also follow this up with the hotel direct a week or so before you go. Have a look on DLRPMagic and Disboards for DLP for the current rules on the Access Card he can get from City Hall when you are there, to help with access to rides, characters etc.

I don't think the onsite hotel deals will get much better, unless they bring out a 40% and kids under-12 free offer for Summer on the UK DLP site (and no-one knows if that will happen).

Have you considered offsite and getting annual passes? For summer that might work out considerably cheaper. If your son has mobility issues you can get complimentary taxi transfers from the associated hotels (Dream Castle, Explorers and Magic Circus all have swimming pools) to the parks and back, Disney can arrange that for you.

I'd also consider delaying your trip until maybe the 2nd week of September if you can, it will be far quieter in the parks once the French and English schools go back into term and the weather will still be lovely. Dreams (the night time lazer light show over the Castle) will still be going on in September too.
  • I'm off to DLP on Feb 18 (monday to friday). Can we expect to see a firework display?

OK thanks for all the info.
Will check prices tomorrow then for 2nd week September for comparison. if we decide to go in Sep u think it may be best to wait a while to book rather than doing it just now?
