OK thanks for all the info.
Will check prices tomorrow then for 2nd week September for comparison. if we decide to go in Sep u think it may be best to wait a while to book rather than doing it just now?

It would depend what price you can get now really.
  • In understand that Dreams takes place every night about an hour before the park shuts. Does this mean please that at weekends when the park is open till 2200, the show will not start till 2100 ?

thats not quite right - Dreams starts at the end of the official park day. So if the park is open until 2200, Dreams begins just after 2200. Guests are allowed to stay in the park to watch Dreams, but the rides etc close at 2200.
  • Thanks Balletshoes can you tell me please if the main parade takes place at the same time every day or is this different at weekends or special days? we arrive at Disney on Sunday 17 March which is st Patrick's day

    Hi :).

For a trip in December, you can't buy your annual passes until June (you have 6 months once you buy them to make them into permanent annual passes at DLP, and once they are permanent, you have a year from the permanency date to use them again and again).

The 20th anniversary is running until September 2013 at the moment, so I don't know what will happen with the 20th anniversary version of the annual passes if the celebrations aren't extended past September.

I haven't used either promoparcs or cemultiavantages for annual passes, I'm passing on lots of information about them from members of another forum, the DISboards.

For the specifics of how to order, I'd recommend asking the folk who have already used the service :) -

Thanks balletshoes. I'll take a look on there too!

The main parade usually takes place at the same time every day in low season (which March is), if the current park programme says the main parade is at 5pm, then it will more than likely be 5pm on Sunday 17th March too.

The park programme for your exact dates may be available in advance a couple of days before you go, but you will also get them at your hotel, in the parks etc when you arrive. Don't forget to check outside City Hall when you arrive on St Patricks Day, there is usually a little extra programme of events leaflet you can get there specifically for that day.

We were there last year on St.Patricks day, they celebrate it big time and there's lots of green in the park. The St.Patricks day fireworks are amazing and well worth waiting for.

  • Hello

I am new to this forum and looking for some help. We would love to take out little one (will be 4 this year) to DLP possibly in September. It would be 2 adults and one child. We live in Aberdeenshire so it is not easy to get to! We think September may be the best month to go and could go any time that month. Ideally for 4 nights/5 days and I saw on the website there is an offer on. Is September a good month to go?

I also noticed it seems cheaper to go Mon- Fri or Sun to Thursday. Have no idea which hotel to go for or flights? Aberdeen is our nearest airport but the flights are looking at £700+ so we might be cheaper travelling to Edinburgh or Glasgow as they have easyjet.

Anyway basically just looking for any advice on hotels/travelling/tips with little one and also wondered how you get to DLP from the airport (CDG?). I think we would like to stay on site if possible but trying to keep costs down.

Also is it really expensive to eat out?

    Many thanks in advance :)

September (after the first week) is a great time to go - lovely weather usually and quiet parks :). All of the onsite hotels are withing walking distance of the parks (15 minutes to the Santa Fe and Cheyenne hotels, the others are slightly closer).

There are loads of shuttle transfers (shared and private) which you can book from CDG to your Disney hotel, I like rstransports but ezyshuttle.com and tioshuttle get good reviews too.

Yes, eating at DLP is expensive, theres no getting away from that. Have a look on DLRPMagic for their restaurant menus and prices etc. There are other choices though, in the Village area (5 minutes walk from the park gates) there is a McDonalds and an Earl of Sandwich, which are more reasonable prices and similar to the same style (subway etc) here in the UK.
  • Hi again

Thank you so much balletshoes :)

Just had another look and unsure which hotel to go for. Between Hotel Cheyenne, Santa Fe (both same price) or Sequoia Lodge (£86 more for the 4 nights/5 day package). Our budget probably won't stretch to the others since we have to travel so far.

Which hotel is best and is it worth paying more for sequoia? My little one will just be 4 so although during the day we will mainly be out, we will probably just be in our room from 8.30ish (bedtime!).

    Thanks again.
    :)
