Hoping someone might be able to help me.
Is it possible to book on the DLP French site if I live in England?
Just trying to do it and got all the way to address and then it won't let me remove FRANCE from the country box.
I spoke to someone on online chat at the French site yesterday and they said it was OK to do - it would just be under the French terms and conditions.
Now I can't find the online chat to ask them how to proceed past the country box!!
Is there a way round it??
Thanks0 -

I don't think its a problem at all but I dont quite understand why you would want to. The UK contracts tend to be pretty good
 It would be good to know. :-)Happy0 -
The same holiday is £200 cheaper if I book through the French site!! - That's why I want to use that site.
It just won't let me change the Country in the address box from France to England.0 -

Hmm, dont know how to change the country.
I don't think it would really matter if you left it as France.
It may be because the rates are only valid for the French market so you have to 'pretend' you live in France
I am still pretty sure you could get a better rate in the Uk. I dont have your details so can't check it but if you say how many nights and which month, I can tell you maybe why and where the £200 isHappy0 -
Ok Thanks.
We only want 1 night at Davy Crockett Ranch - 29th May. Coming up at £300 on French site and £491 on English. It's for 2 adults and 2 children (3 and 6).
Any help would be most appreciated!0 -

Yes, you are right. Its a one night stay so they will offer reductions.
Its a good price. You should have taken a print screen with the chat when they confirmed to you that it would be Ok.
To have a copy of it would give you the back up required.
I don't think it would be a problem to book with them but don't hold me to itHappy0 -
Hi.
Thanks for all the advise.
Think we are now going to stay at the explorer and get the annual passes option. As you suggeted it works out a lot cheaper.
Couple of questions though.
On expedia the explorer came to £870 for our dates, and on trivago is is pricing at £530 for the same dates and 2 rooms (4 person room and a double room)! Are there really such differences on these websites. I would have thought they would have been very similar. Makes me a bit worried that i have done something wrong!
Also , regarding the annual pass. Are they dated from when you buy them, or does the year start when you enter the park?
Thanks again.balletshoes wrote: »okay - for a start, anyone can book a character breakfast, you don't have to be staying at a Disney hotel to do that.
Extra Magic Hours are given to you if you either stay at a Disney onsite hotel, or have Fantasy or Dream annual passes. There are no blackout dates for 21st to 25th October this year for the Fantasy annual pass, so if you consider staying offsite but very nearby to DLP, and buy Fantasy annual passes for all the adults instead of park tickets, it could work out a fair bit cheaper than onsite. Your 5-year old would get a free annual pass because you are buying others, if you buy them from cemultiavantages or promoparcs. They cost 125 euros each at the moment from either of those sites, they are more expensive from Disney and you don't get a free child's one with Disney either.
Have a look at booking your own flights direct with the airline, don't go through Disney for that.
For offsite hotels without park tickets included check trivago, expedia, travelrepublic, alpharooms, etc etc for Disneyland Paris then change the filter to distance to give you the close offsite hotels.
You'll have transfers between the airport in Paris and your hotel at/near DLP to sort out, at the most this would be 170 euros return (it could be cheaper, but thats the VEA coach price so its an okay figure to work on when you're costing up a trip).
Oh, and don't bother with half board, or any dining plan, at DLP. If you want to budget in advance for your meals just put the money on a pre-paid travecard and take that with you to pay for your meals while you are at DLP, far less restrictive than the dining plan vouchers.0 -
We took our 8 year old in August and we found it hard to spend one day there let alone 3, you spend most of your time queueing; 50 mins for a pretty boring "ride" of maybe 4 mins......and everything is sooooo expensive, euro 80 for a princess dress, which she did not get but lots did, some had two or three in tow!!! .... and the most expensive burger and chips we will ever have just for having her photo taken with a student in a mickey mouse outfit.....no, gotta tell you it-s pants and outrageously bad value, pity those with more then one child..emporers new clothers IMHO0

I couldnt see this on Trivago for £530.00, it was showing £628.00 for me once you go through.
Which is about right, we sell it for £598.00 so more or less its right, the Expedia price is quite high.If you can get it for £530.00, it is a very good price.

Lookinga t flighing now at it seems asimilar price for train and flighing form manc.
As for hotels. It was suggested that we lok at the explorer. Seems nice,s o i looked on expida and it was approx £850, but on trivago it was only £530! ARe there realluy such diffences betwwen these types of sites? Or would you suggest i'm doing something wrong?
Also
This may be a bit of a stupid question, but as our little one will need a pram how do we go on about that on a plane!
Thanks again.
Simon
no, you haven't necessarily done anything wrong - but trivago isn't the actual booking agent, its a comparison website, so to be sure of the final price you have to click on the deal and make sure it includes you all. But hopefully the £530 is right!
