    Hi
I'm off to Euro disney in March, I have been before but years ago. We ate with the princesses last time but was thinking of booking Mikeys cafe this time. I've been reading the reviews on travel advisor about Mikeys cafe and they are pretty negative. I have twin 4 year old boys and an older daughter and the thought of waiting outside for ages then waiting for the food would be a knightmare.

Is there a better way to meet the characters? Or a better time to go the Cafe so there isn't a huge delay?
If its not worth it i could queue up for a meet and greet although I'm not sure the characters who do the cafe do meet and greets?

Any advice would be brilliant, I really want to make sure we don't have a knightmare we've saved up for so long to go!

    Thank you x

not sure whos in mickeys cafe but we were there last year and are going back again this year and we did see Minnie doing a meet and Greet with no Q at all and there is a place where Mickey meets people near the back of the park. Had to stand in a big Q for him but theres a big screen with cartoons where you Q to try and keep kids amused. Hope that helps

there are still a few quietish ways to meet characters. Cafe Mickey for lunch instead of dinner - its quieter and the characters are still there from noon until just before 3pm each day. The food is expensive and not worth it in my opinion if you order a kids meal deal each and a separate dish per adult - so just order 2 or 3 pizzas between you all for a family of 5 (they are large dinner-plate size so one of them easily suits 2 of us for our meal). The character interaction is exactly the same, no matter how much you are spending on your food in Cafe Mickey. Mickey is guaranteed at Cafe Mickey, and another half dozen or so characters per meal.

Also, if you are visiting DLP on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays, the Disneyland Hotel has a character meet n greet in the afternoon (its either 4pm or 5pm usually, there is a notice about it near the staircase in the foyer). This is much quieter than any meet n greet in the park, and anyone can go into the public areas of the Disneyland Hotel (ie foyer, restaurant/bar/gift shop areas etc). You don't have to be a guest of the hotel to meet the characters there - you can also go in there in the mornings before 11am to meet the characters too, they are either in the foyer or near the entrance to the restaurants on the 1st floor :).

Character meet n greets are usually easier in the Studios rather than the main park, so closer to your trip dates, download or print off the park programme and have a look at what meet n greets are going on in the Studios park.

If you book a table you shouldn't be waiting long. We always book and have never waited more than 5-10 minutes. We found lunchtimes quieter than evenings. Also you can do breakfast here which is usually quiet.
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

I am so excited! 1 more sleep!!! I have booked Cafe Mikey for dinner during our stay... Will I regret it? Like above, reviews seem to be quite mixed. I was thinking of ordering pizzas rather than the set menu to keep the costs down.

Any must do's/ last minute tips peeps?

Can anyone remember, does the direct train from London to DLP stop at CDG airport?

    Thanks.

We got home this time last week, we booked cafe mickey for the saturday night and it was everything i had hoped for! we ordered for the kids off the set menu and then us two had a pizza and garlic bread to share, plus drinks and it came to around 60 euros which wasnt bad at all. I tried to get in on our last day but it was booked, we saw tigger goody pluto mickey and minnie and the cast members had everyone up dancing doing the conga rpound the restuarant! a definite for next time we go

Quick question, we're booking this Sunday for 6 nights @ sequoia from 16th-22nd May for 2 adults & 2 children (4 &7) and I've been quoted £1333 on the UK Disney site, I just checked the French site and we can get the same plus tickets to buffalo bills for 1549.40€ (£1258.68). Can I book through the French site? I had a look and it has country set to France where you enter your booking details. Do they post stuff out or do they do it all electronically?

yes, you can book through the French site. Just leave the country at France, fill in the rest of your booking details as your own, you get email confirmation of everything that you have booked, nothing comes through the post.

Are you sure you want half board? Do you know what it entails and will you use it to its best advantage (it doesn't save you any money these days generally, over just paying for your food when you are there).

Also, have a look on Expedia (you might have already done this). They have the same deals that Disney are doing, but seem to be pricing them cheaper at the moment.

Hi, I'd priced it wrong, only costed one adult not two but still it works out a bit cheaper even with the buffalo bills tickets added on! I will have a look at Expedia now...very excited for my 4th time at dlp!
