I think you'd be best taking it with you - can you get long-life soya milk? There are ice machines at the Santa Fe so you'd be able to keep it cold for a day in your sink once its opened.

    Any guru offer advice please?

Off to Paris for 6 days in February. We already have Eurostar tickets to Paris (NOT DLP station) and entrance tickets to DLP - dated for the 2 middle days of the 6.

We want to see a few things in Paris, and drop in on friends there, so the other 4 days will be spent in central Paris.

Looking at pricing up the trip and wondered if it'll be cheaper to

    1) Stay in DLP area and train into Paris every day we want to go there, factoring in cost of travel between hotel, train station and DLP.

    2) Stay in central Paris and train into DLP every day we want to go there, factoring in cost of travel between hotel, train station and DLP.

    3) Stay in 3 hotels, with left baggage charges factored in.

Number 2 is easiest on us, but Paris hotel bills being what they are, I wanted to see just how much cheaper train travel is before booking.

Any thoughts? How have you combined DLP with seeing Paris please? Thank you.
For future users we costed up for the 4 of us and found cheapest hotels were near Disney, so we're staying in central Paris night one, spending day 2 in Paris, then taking RER in evening out to hotel by val d'europe, staying there 3 nights, train into Paris early day 5 and staying final night in central Paris again.

  • Hi All

It's been a real eye opener reading this forum. I didn't realise booking a holiday was so complex :)

We're looking to go to DLP (see I'm even learning the lingo) in November 2013. There will be 7 adults, one 14 year old, and 8 year old, and a 4 year old. What would people suggest as the best option for our group. It's basically 3 families (me, wife and daughter)(Mother in law and father in law) (Sister in law, Brother in Law, One grown up child, one 14 year old and one 8 year old).

    Any suggestions would be welcomed.

10 guests in onsite rooms would mean 3 rooms.
However, the Explorers hotel (situated at the end of the road where the onsite hotels begin, and served by free shuttle buses to and from the parks all day every day) has room configurations for up to 10 people on one booking, so I'd have a look there first (don't book through Disney though, look at other agents, travelrepublic, expedia etc etc, and the hotel's own website). How many days park tickets do you think you'll want for your trip?
  • I would imagine we'd be looking for maybe 3 days at the park, does that sound about right to make the most of the trip?

in November, as long as you're avoiding Saturdays and Sundays and French school holidays (oh and Armistice Day 11th, major public holiday in France and one of DLP's busiest days of the year), yes, 3 days will be a good number of days to go :).

3 days park tickets price is usually where you break even if you go for Fantasy annual passes instead, as they give you discounts on food and souvenirs in the parks, and you get Extra Magic Hours with them, regardless of where you are staying. You must check the blockout dates on them for November though, so you know Fantasy passes will give you access to the parks for every day of your stay (on the official DLP site the Fantasy pass blockout dates for November 2013 are -
    NOV : 1-3, 16, 30)

Here is a really useful link for general information on annual passes -
    http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/booking/annual-passports/

CEmultiavantages and promoparcs are both French agencies, perfectly legitimate, who offer regular discounted annual pass prices for DLP, and with them your 4-year old would also get a free annual pass because you are buying at least one. Currently their prices for the Fantasy annual pass is 125 euros each.

For your 8-year old, and for a 3-day ticket, you might be cheaper buying a child's 3-day ticket instead of an annual pass for them, have a look at attractiontix or google cheap DLP park tickets to see what kind of price it would be for your 8-year old. 12-year olds and above are adults at DLP, and pay adult price for park tickets/annual passes etc.
